School, Work, FWA

This semester started off with a really unhappy Husky. Sometime over the winter break, the registrars office at my school decided that a class I took over 2 years ago no longer fulfills a requirement that it had originally satisfied. You see, Clemson's General Education requirements state that you have to take a certain number of courses within Social Science, Arts & Humanities, Cross Cultural Awareness and Science & Technology in Society areas. My major also requires an additional Arts & Humanities class. Back in 2006, I took a class that met the STS requirement and apparently it had been meeting the additional A&H requirement as well. Like all college students, I assumed my Degree Progress Report was accurate, even though it states that it may contain errors (which I think is rather oxymoron). Anayway, I was looking over my report over the break and I had a feeling that something didn't look right but I couldn't quite figure it out. So when I got back to my apartment after getting away from family I loked over my previous report from my advisor and the current one online and noticed that one course had been moved and no longer met a requirement. So basically it was showing me that I would be 3 credit hours short of graduating in May. Obviously this pissed me off quite a bit so I went on a manhunt to get this issue straightened out. Many hours of talking to people, walking all over campus, back and forth between offices, I finally figure out what needs to be done to fix the University's mistake. I fill out paperwork, get the signatures I need, and now I wait for the final decision, which I am assured that everything will be ok. I'm not the only person that took this class and there are at least 2 other students in my major that took the same class as I did. Basically my right-paw friend that I work with and am pretty much around all the time had the same issue so we did some of the running around together; Power in numbers, as they say. My first few days of my final semester were chaotic and quite stressful, but it's calmed down a bit now and it looks like it's gonna be a decent semester.

Work has also started back up and it looks like we finally got the kinks worked out of the major issues I was having with particles not working. So now basically I have some particles to make for someone over in England. After that, I'll probably get to work on my officially unnoficial 'undergraduate research' project.

On a final note, what started out as an invitation to tag along with a friend to FWA has turned into my mate coming down from Canada for a week then us heading down to FWA for the weekend. So, that should prove to be interesting.

[Edit]: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention;
Jack Is Back!
