Many Postings
I'm at work today, can you tell? Urgh.
Things are pretty tame here so far. We got 5-7 inches of snow last night, are expecting another 5-7 today, and maybe another couple inches tomorrow. By itself it's not a big deal cuz, yeah, it's Minnesota and we can handle a foot of snow like nothing. Just this combined with huge travel day and so many people driving into town who AREN'T used to this kind of weather, and you can get some problems.
My plans last night got scuttled because of it. I was going to get together with two of my friends last night, but their initial plans to head to Iowa this morning got pushed up to yesterday afternoon in order to avoid further nastiness to the south. No beef from me, obviously, I'd rather they get there safe than stay here overnight so they can play Rock Band with me for two hours, you know?
So I ended up making the one cookie run instead of two, then got McD's and Inglourious Basterds. Man, that movie was a kick. Hopefully I can find a Redbox to return it this afternoon before Cubs and McDonalds start shutting down, though.
Today's plans, tonight's plans, tomorrow's plans, are still up in the air. My brother was supposed to go out of town tomorrow, his girlfriend's mom was supposed to be here today to pick up her as well as her airplane-travelling brother. But who knows now? I sure don't.
In theory I'm outta here at 3. Time, energy, and workload will tell, although our customer service and most branches are shutting down about that time.
Oh, yeah, right: Merry Christmas! There WILL be a chapter tomorrow!
