Finishing up day three of my four-day weekend, I drove up to Duluth again. Got some different stuff done this time than I had in May, especially since I wasn't doing any research for
Chapters 16 and
23 this time around.
Took the scenic route. I went to school for four friggin' years up there, and I NEVER took the scenic highway, as we were always either driving at night or in a hurry to get back or driving at night while in a hurry to get back.
It definitely has its ups and downs,
including one GREAT scenic overlook. But it's also not the drive you want to make your first time ever to Duluth, since it kinda takes you straight onto Superior St. as opposed to bringing you down the hill, denying you the view of the city from the top. But it was a nice change of pace, nonetheless.
Also hit Leif Erickson Park, Fitgers, and drove over the Blatnik & College Kids' Favorite Name Bong Bridge into Superior, WI. Hadn't been there very much even when I was going to school there, and it's definitely The Wrong Side of the Tracks. Man, Soup Town's depressing.
Tomorrow, HOPEFULLY my XBox comes back. Cuz I wanna play Assassin's Creed, dammit!
