Checking In
It's been a long week. Talked with the friend of my previous long post a few days ago, and... well, I don't know. I'm getting together with her this weekend, in theory, and we'll see what things are looking like from there.
Meanwhile I've just been living in this haze of anxiety. Pretty much always tired, always just a little queasy, and my creative juices have just been sapped for the time being. The chapter that I'm working on now for Oligarchy was originally planned to be a four or five-section chapter.
It's now two, with the possibility for a third that I feel like I HAVE to put in even though I have no clue what I'm going to say in it. And the motivation for me to actually sit down and write, to just not flop down on the couch and watch Lost, isn't there AT ALL.
It'll come back. But right now real life's intruding on my creative side. I might even break open Deathly Hallows starting next week, just to see if I can get the motivation up again.
I've been posting rewrites of New Mutants, as you've probably noticed. They're shorter, and they're easier to deal with in the meantime. Chapter 3 should be posted by the end of the afternoon.
