You're going to have Harry marry Hermione in this one, right?

I didn't know who the exploding!mutant was until I read his first name.
I'm pretty out of touch with the X-Men - for example I only vaguely know of Alex - and the disparity in ages between movieverse and comic canon is a bit of a twist too - but this is a fun read. "Too silver age" - heh.
I only really know of Bishop from the X-Men cartoon - in the 80s? - and I thought/assumed that he could only absorb radiation, not *all* forms of energy (like kinetic). Really his only power in the cartoon seemed to be shooting a gun, he didn't seem to do much else that I recall. Nice to see him built up from scratch here.
Yeah, I built up everyone from scratch in this series, especially Bishop and Longshot. I figured there was precidence to do so, since so many of the characters in the movie are rebuilt: Rogue, Iceman, Pyro, Psylocke. Gave me a lot of opportunity to fiddle around with them.
A lot of it had to be done. There are just some powers that are difficult to define in a "Real World" setting, like Longshot's mutant luck powers. Making him a low-level telekinetic just made more sense.
