Got into FictionAlley this morning, but I guess I have a lot of editing that needs to get done.

Nothing like trying to find a beta for a novel-length story.  *sigh*

Like what? Spelling and grammar?? Cause I am alright with all that, I can have a thourough read through and see if you've missed anything (which I don't think you have because I am usually picky on all that and nothing ever stood out to me in AtF

Shit with britpicking though.

Yup, that's what appeared to be the biggest problem in the e-mail response. 90% of the problems are capitalization, commas, etc., after dialogue, which I know has always been my biggest problem.

I can toss you a few chapters tonight when I get home from work, if you're interested in taking a swing.

Just email me a few. I am working tomorrow (Sat) and Sunday but I should be able to get a start on it. I will have heaps of time Monday though so I can try get through a bigger chunk then.

You aren't wanting them all done within the week are you? Cause that I can't do. Classes start this week so I am a bit shorter on time than I have been but I'll still have time.

Then if they tell you that your beta sucks you can still find someone else. :P

Well, I actually posted a request on their forum a few minutes ago, so I'll see if I get any responses by the end of the day. In the end I'll probably have to divide them up among multiple betas, which isn't a big deal since I can't post the whole series in one chunk anyway.

Congratulations!!

I didn't know that Fiction Alley was restricted, though - they have a million authors on there and it's difficult to pick through stuff.

Ayup. You have to go through their circles. Not sure exactly how they go about it picking what works and what doesn't, though. I guess they just want to avoid the horror that is the FF.net mess.

Good show! I'd imagine there'd be heaps of fans who aren't even aware of LiveJournal or your blog. I'll be curious to see what sort of response it gets.
