Nah... I don't think it's supposed to be even starting until tonight or tomorrow... either way, my department's such that we can't get closed for snow. we have to be here.
I love the difference between MN and MD...here, it would be a state-wide emergency for 3 inches of snow, much less a foot! All grocery stores would be immediately rushed on bread, milk and TP. It cracks me the eff up.
I'm jealous. We haven't had decent snow in forever, and I doubt we'll get any this year, the weather's been so messed up. It was 59 degrees here yesterday, for pete's sake.
Well, it's not like you have it badly. I love Baltimore, best ballpark in the majors.
I'm just remembering an old episode of King of the Hill where they're at a company picnic and it starts to snow. They start acting like the apocalyps, running to the parking lot in a panic, and instantly start sliding around and slamming into each others' cars on, like, a light dusting.
Yes, Camden Yards is rather spectacular, isn't it? I wish the darn tickets weren't so freaking expensive, or we'd go more often. Luckily, the stadium Cal built for the IronBirds is really nice, and those tickets are cheap and fun to go to. You gotta love the minors...it's baseball without the egos. ;p
Yes, that episode sounds exactly like what happens here whenever we get even like a 1/2 of snow. It's truly insane. And it cracks my family up even more, because my dad got his phd at U of MN and then I was born in Buffalo, so we're somewhat used to dealing with snow. It's rather amusing, though.
Well, you're talking to someone who grew up with the Metrodome, aka The Big Inflatable Toilet. Any outdoor ball is good, I just happened to pick the best for my first outdoor major league game.
