"Comcast Forced Fees by Reducing Netflix to 'VHS-Like Quality'"

Sep 02, 2014 09:26

As someone who used Comcast for about 9 years before moving from WA to NC and started using Time Warner Cable instead, I really, really, truly hope that Comcast is not able to buy Time Warner Cable. Netflix agrees that it would be a terrible thing as well. Found this thanks to Wil Wheaton on Twitter (via Facebook).
Benefit of not working for Syfy: I can post articles about how evil Comcast is without getting a lecture from execs: http://t.co/unlURZxOha

The corporate bullshit about “don’t criticize Comcast or advocate for #NetNeutrality” was exhausting and annoying. Fuck Comcast forever.

I've talked about net neutrality in the past myself, and this is exactly why I think it is so important, and is exactly what Cracked was talking about, too. This is one of the reasons that Comcast won that Worst Company in America thing this year, which had been won by EA for the previous two years. In this case, I think Comcast might actually fully deserve it, though.

net neutrality, internet
