Ok, screw coherence.

Here's just a sort of stream of conscious list of stuff, in the order that it comes to mind.

(EDIT) Breaks have been added between bullet points per request. That's the only concession to coherence that I'll make, since I'm not touching that big block of crap in the first point again with a ten foot pole. That big block of crap can be summed up by the first sentence and the last sentence, which is just a restatement of the first sentence, and the rest of the big block of crap in between can safely be ignored because it's a big block of crap. • I hate flying. I made this decision after the trip to NC, and the trip back only further cemented my loathing for it. On the way back, my original flight was to have left Greensboro at 7:00pm EST (6:00pm CST, 4:00pm PST), and I would have ultimately gotten to Seattle at a little after 12:00am PST (2:00am CST, 3:00am EST). This would have sucked hard due to the buses being crazy at that time of night. So, I got up at 6:30am EST (5:30am CST, 3:30am PST), was at my sister's by 7:30am EST (6:30am CST, 4:30am PST), and we got to the airport around 8:30am EST (7:30am CST, 5:30am PST). At first, I got booked standby for a flight that would have left Greensboro at 10:30am EST (9:30am CST, 7:30am PST) to Washington DC, and the connecting flight from there to Seattle which was to have left at 12:30pm EST (11:30am CST, 9:30am PST). I probably would have gotten back to Seattle at around 4:00pm PST (6:00pm CST, 7:00pm EST) and then home at around 6:00pm PST (8:00pm CST, 9:00pm EST). Well, turned out that the flight leaving from Greensboro to DC was delayed for over an hour, meaning that I wouldn't be getting to DC until around 1:00pm EST (12:00pm CST, 10:00am PST), which meant I would have had to wait in DC until 5:00pm EST (4:00pm CST, 2:00pm PST) until the next available flight and wouldn't have gotten to Seattle until around 8:00pm-9:00pm PST (10:00pm-11:00pm CST, 11:00pm-12:00am EST) or so. Well, they changed my schedule (without my asking them to do so, though I didn't really mind it) so that I would leave out of Greensboro at 12:30pm EST (11:30am CST, 9:30am PST) going to Chicago. I got to Chicago around 1:30pm CST (11:30am PST, 2:30pm EST), and then, after sitting for two hours or so, left from there for Seattle around 4:00pm CST (2:00pm PST, 5:00pm EST). I finally got off the plane in Seattle at around 7:00pm PST (9:00pm CST, 10:00pm EST). After that, there was about an hour and a half bus trip back Redmond (not counting the 30 minutes or so I had to wait for the bus at the airport), with me finally getting back to my condo at a few minutes before 9:00pm PST (11:00pm CST, 12:00am PST). So, I say again, I hate flying.

  • Over Christmas break, I played through Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Metroid: Zero Mission, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (Riku's storyline as well as Sora's), and about halfway again through Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.

  • Over Christmas break, I saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, King Kong, and Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Harry Potter was okay, except for the overly agitated Dumbledore and the general, noticable choppiness of the film. King Kong was cool, though it took them about half of the 3-hour movie before they even got to Skull Island, and the ending, though expected, still left me with a general loathing for the human race. Narnia was cool too, and better than the Harry Potter movie, in my opinion.

  • Most of the rest of my vacation was spent doing tech support for my brother, who bought a new Dell for his family, one of my sisters, who upgraded from Windows ME to Windows XP among other things, and one of my other sisters, who just had a bit of hidden ad/spyware on her computer that was making it run crappily but which an up-to-date version of Spybot Search and Destroy was able to kill.

  • I passed all of my classes at DigiPen last semester. C+ in CS200 and B-range in everything else. Also, it doesn't appear that they have arbitrarily changed my schedule this year like they did last year, so they probably, hopefully won't be doing so. *crosses fingers*

  • Upon my return, I found 19 unread OW! emails in my inbox, in addition to the six or seven or so new ones that I only partially skimmed before but didn't have time to really read, due to school (or, rather, for fear that I'd start posting again instead of spending the time more wisely on doing homework).

  • I wasn't able to access the SVN server via browser at all during Christmas break, or at least not the three or four times I tried it on various days, which sucked because I wanted to show some people what we had so far on our game this year. (SVN appears to be working now, however.)

  • School starts on Monday, so I have today, tomorrow, and Sunday to recover from my Christmas vacation in NC.

  • Following up on the last point, I haven't ordered any of my school books yet.

  • I should probably be going to the post office in a little while to pick up my held mail and to have them resume my normal mail delivery.

  • (EDIT) Regarding the last point, they were holding only a little bit of mail for me at the post office, one of which was from DigiPen. I got home and, though not expecting to find anything, checked my mailbox on a whim anyway. It was jammed full of crap, one of which was also from DigiPen. WTF? So, what, did they think I wanted them to just hold some of my mail? (/EDIT)

  • Beyond that, I don't plan on doing much of anything at all besides vegetate for the next two and a half days.
