Star Trek overload.
I've been watching TOS for the past couple of weeks or so. Just finished The Menagerie tonight, which is roughly the half-way point of season 1. After TOS, I plan to move on to TNG. That's all I have access to at the moment, though.
While looking up some stuff online pertaining to episodes I'd watched, I was using Memory Alpha, as indicated by the links above. Memory Alpha is the wiki for all canon Star Trek stuff. In addition to Memory Alpha, I also knew of the existence of Memory Beta. This is the wiki for all officially licensed, but non-canon Star Trek stuff.
Tonight, however, I learned of the existence of yet another one: Memory Gamma. This one is the wiki for fanon related to Star Trek. By this, it pretty much means it's a giant Star Trek fanfiction site, or rather the reference site for fanfiction, or something... I don't know. I can't really tell yet, based on the few short minutes I looked it over tonight. On a whim, I searched for Q, which immediately lead to Edward Shield (who?), which lead to other such pages. I had to stop at that point, at least for the time being, because... wow. o_O So maybe it's also for, like, Star Trek LARP or something? *shrug* Oh, and what a can of worms this is. (EDIT 2) Since that last one's a red link now, I'll just say what it was: the home galaxy of Star Wars. (/EDIT 2) Honestly? I can't decide whether to flee from this site as fast and as far as my Internet legs can carry me and never ever look back... or clap my hands together with childish glee and dive right in. Well, in either case, it'll have to wait until later. (EDIT) On further review, I'm thinking that the flee option is the more appealing of the two. This site is... a bit much, even for me. >_> (/EDIT)
