"Since I haven't talked about the series in a looong time, here's the power ranking system I came up with for the W.I.T.C.H. girls (plus Elyon).
Elyon Brown-- she's the Light of Meridian afterall, the single 'guardian' over an entire world. I always saw Elyon as having power of matter itself, being able to control all five elements while Kandrakar's guardians only had dominion over a particular element. She would either be stronger or as strong as the W.I.T.C.H. group combined, while having less refined skill over an element than its associated guardian.
Will Vandom-- I honestly cannot understand why this isn't obvious to others. Will is the keeper of the Heart of Kandrakar, which magnifies the powers of her fellow guardians. Without her, the other girls wouldn't be able to transform! The Heart allows Will to perform a number of special tricks; out of the W.I.T.C.H. she is the guardian not restricted by the capabilities of her element. As for basic attack power...I generally adhere to the comics, so (to me) her element is energy. As for the show she is (AGAIN) the strongest, controlling quintessence. The stuff of life. Bio-electricity. SHE BRINGS THINGS TO LIFE. Too strong, if you ask me. In any case, I don't see energy or quintessence as very powerful in attack strength. Maybe its more of a concentrated attack than the four natural elements.
Taranee Cook--Again, going by the comics. Cedric states that fire is the most indomitable element of all and not too many objects can be repaired after they've been scorched. I like the idea of Taranee reigning in her power, most of the time, to avoid excessive damage but being out of control and a risk to contain when she really gets pissed off.
Cornelia Hale--The second most physically damaging element. Then again...in the show they made her the (second?) strongest guardian. Either that, or they just used her a lot to show off. But even Cornelia couldn't get Taranee under control when their powers clashed during the dream sequences in the Four Dragons story, War in Meridian arc (comics).
Irma Lair/Hay Lin--This is where it gets tricky. I like to believe that Irma and Hay Lin are EQUAL in power levels, and combine their powers to get the maximum damage possible out of their elements (ice, hurricanes, etc., anyone?).
Who do you believe is the most powerful in the group? I just KNOW that I'm opening the floodgates for a debate ^-^;;.
