Mission 101 stuff

I've been reading the last few days so I haven't been doing much of anything else. :P

Nothing much to share except for a couple of things and most are related to mission 101:

1. Jake's cousin is putting together a team to run in the Susan G. Komen 5k marathon. I've been wanting to do this so I told her I was in. (His aunt is a breast cancer suvivor on her second year.) Only after I told Jake and he started teasing me did I realize what this actually means. I have to start working out....and I don't run, I hate to run. Years of getting up early to run around the track in high school to stay in shape really burned me out from running. I know I'm not going for a medal or anything (HAHA), but to finish and to help support the cause.

2. Which brings me to my next point...why in the hell did I put 'Run a 5k marathon' and then 'Run in a 10k marathon'??? Am I not punishing myself enough? In case you don't know....5k is 3.1 miles and 10k is 6.2 miles. Again, not going for medals, but the Breast cancer one is on May 9th and the SLC 10k is on July 24th. Ugh...I have to start working out now...and running now. At least the weather is starting to clear up after the unexpected snow storm we had Monday. Hopefully by this weekend I'll be out running...even if it is for only 15 minutes a day!

3. I've been wanting to recover my dining room chairs. (Did I already post about this?) Cream chair cushions with kids is impractical, and they are stained now. I've been debating fabrics and finally just broke down and bought some. It's a bit brighter sage green that I wanted, but it has a linen top side and plastic-ish (pvc actually) back side that is suited for outdoor furniture, or in my case, kid spills. I figure, in a year or so if I want a change, its under $20 bucks to recover all 4 chairs. I bought 2 yards at $4 a yard, so even if i found a more expensive fabric it won't be that much. I've finished one chair, I'll take before and after pics of the other chairs after I'm done. That leaves just sanding and staining the table and bench, but if we are moving next summer, I'll wait until after we've moved to that. Don't want to get an extra scratches after we get it all nice and pretty.

4. I'm doing ok with the no chocolate. Easier than the no pepsi was, but still hard especially when I want chocolate chip cookies and hot fudge sundaes the kids are eating. Grr. At least its almost over.

Anyway, I think that's it. It's my turn to host our stamp party this weekend so that will be fun!
