Vampire Diaries III
So as I have just watched the next couple of episodes of this show I'm going to ramble on about it for a bit. *g* Most of this, I think, doesn't make sense unless you've seen the programme... but as it's mostly me tearing bits of it down, I don't think that matters.
Also a word of warning, I was watching the episode while I was writing so it follows events as they appear in the programme and are a little non=linear because of it
Right so the bloke who sees Stefan and thinks he /has/ to be the same person, because when you see someone who looks the same as someone that you knew 60 years ago your first thought is "OMG they haven't aged a day!" rather than the more normal, "hey son, I knew your Dad/grandpa/etc".
Because, yeah, That makes /Sense!/
Stefan: "I happen to be a good cook; Italian roots demand it!"
Eh, WTH! Now I'm confused I thought that you two (Damon/Stefan) were /American/ in this incarnation, so where the hell does the /Italian/ come in! Unless you mean roots as in vaguely some time ago my family came to America from Italy. (because that makes /sense!/)
And Damon's crow is still annoying me. This episode we see it flitting around despite the fact that DAMON IS LOCKED IN A CELLAR. So there's no possible way that the crow is Damon, it's just a random crow that happens to do Damon's bidding. Because yes, that makes SENSE!.. really.
On to Elena, who seems smarter than book!Elena but I suppose that goes along with non!bitchy Elena, so I guess that works.
And Elena figured out Stefan's secret on her own?
BECAUSE THAT MAKES SENSE!
And then the episode ends on this so called 'cliff hanger'.
Enter episode 4.
Which is Urgh! A flashback episode. Oh the HORROR!
*pause*
huh, maybe not. Still, Big Reveal is surprisingly anti-climatic and I'm sure Elena isn't supposed to be this freaked? I mean, yeah, she falls off a roof but she let Stefan explain after he saved her. This Elena (and I /said/ she was /smart/) didn't even find out which rules apply to Vampires in this 'verse! How STUPID can you be? I mean, she knows nothing about vamps! And to be honest, if Stefan was dangerous, RUNNING from him isn't going to make a difference is it! I mean, *shakes head* He's a predator, he could track you quite easily (and she even /saw/ how fast he moved!, and at this point she doesn't know that /Stefan/ is actually pretty weak, in Vamp. terms. Stupid girl.)
Damon's phone conversation with Stefan about his ring? Why so focused on /his/ ring? I mean, do none of these characters /think/? Damon could quite happily have Stefan's ring and trap /him/ in the house during daylight. Problem Solved.... and wait-a-minute, is he turning Vicki! That SO DOES NOT HAPPEN!!!
*happy sigh* And Damon is back on form, heh, he's funny in a dark kinda way. Highly entertaining to watch, heh, I mean his /face/ when he's feeding Vicki his blood for the first time. *snerk*
Flashback!Scene as Stefan relates some of his history to Elena.
Blah, blah blah, 1800s and everything's old school yeah, yeah we get it .. WAIT-A-MINUTE! BEST FRIENDS? I didn't think Damon & Stefan /ever/ got along, even when they were alive! *traumatised* What is this show doing! .. 'though *speculative* this does kinda fit /very/ well with that fic.... I don't think /that/ was intentional. *evil grin*
And *still in flashback!land*.. Katherine is a bitch. I honestly /don't/ get what the boys saw in her. She's a serious manipulative little madam and she's /so/ obviously trying to 'divide and conquer' it's not even funny. COME ON GUYS! WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE!
*bemused* Why is it that Stefan keeps /apologising/ for everything. I mean, it's not his fault that Vicki fed from someone (I mean he'd just been /shot/) .. and the whole situation has nothing to do with him either, I mean, DAMON is the one that turned her, and then Damon killed the man that she fed off... etc. *urgh* I mean, don't go all 'Angel' on me. One is enough. (by far!)
Also, what exactly did the silly little band of humans hope to do against the vampire they're hunting? I mean, there are all of three of them AND they split up... Now they've lost the 'vamp radar watch-thing'.. All in all; not the smartest plan I've ever seen..
Interesting to see what they try and come up with next ... *mutters* Amateurs...
