Went to see The Nice Guys...
Hee, after insanely busy first half of the week I finally got the real work part done and treated myself to an earlier screening of The Nice Guys today \o/
And it was actually a lot of fun :D At first I had zero enthusiasm for the movie but after they did such an insane PR job for it and we got to listen to Matt talk about it and, of course Russell and Ryan, I think it all helped build that high level of squee where you just sort of stop caring about the possible fails and just enjoy the whole experience :D
So, did I like it? I did! It's like the boys have been telling us in those interviews - you expect an action packed comedy but what you are actually getting is a movie that has a lot of hilarious moments but also serious stuff and sweet stuff and Matt with a lot of gun power, LOL
Is it a must see? No necessarily and I think it is one of those movies that you will be perfectly fine watching at home on DVD/BR.
I think the entire cast did a great job here, many kudoz to both Ryan and Russell and especially Angourie - wow, the kid's great \o/
And Matty is such a bad, bad boy and I'm all squee about how great he did in all those action scenes, I actually have never ever seen him move so quickly, LOL.
And the thing that cracked me up the most is the whole Waltons thing which they have going pretty much throughout the whole movie, even before Matty makes his entrace, it's hilarious and I'm pretty certain I was the only one in the entire cinema who got a kick out of it and got all the jokes in that category. The Waltons never made it to Polish TV so it's no surprise almost no one knows that show here. I was just lucky enough to have access to a satellite dish when I was growing up, lol :D
So, all in all - MUCH FUN, glorious Matty, he definitely added yet another new experience to his growing list of various parts he gets to play :D
