a make or break weekend
christian and i have a lot of make or break weeks/weekends. this was one of them. it had tons of potential for disaster, primarily due to a lack of sleep and lots of family all weekend long.
work was pretty fun on friday. all of the overnight people were back on regular schedules so i was entertained for a good portion of the evening. and the shoko special in the cafe. omfg. this weekend was filled with terrible eating. the shoko special is the cinnamon roll with a scoop of vanilla ice cream doused with chocolate and caramel sauce. mmmmm. christian calling the store drunk was also fairly amusing. he hasn't done that since he was a supervisor at the store. oh, christian.
saturday was alec's confirmation. i received the body and blood of christ for the first time in over a year and it felt fantastic. i think they forgot to water down the wine though. it was strong! pam was pissing me off becuase she kept trying to make a big deal of christian and i couldn't tell her angle so i just acted cold towards her instead. we had a nice lunch after confirmation at home with aunty bob uncle ba and margaret. it was fun having everyone together again. it'd been like a year since i had last seen my aunty bob. it was funny becuase my uncle ba told christian his usual story within 2 seconds of meeting him. it was amazing.
the wedding was fun. i was the hottest date there and christian was using me as a piece of meat to impress people he knew would check me out. i don't know whether i should feel flattered or yell at him for it. lol. before the wedding began his niece adopted me and we were collecting flowers and trying to save her tiger from her mean and apparently lazy uncle chris. lol. there was an open bar the first hour and we stocked up on drinks. by the time dinner came i was lucky i could stand and serve myself food. i put too much on my plate becuase i had a hard time juding portions. by the end of the evening i'd had 1 cranberry/vodka, 3 tequila sunrises, and 1.5 rum/cokes. i dont drink all that often, so that was pretty bad. what's even worse was i was designated driver in the beginning of the evening. by my 2nd drink though, christian decided that he was the driver. i didn't even make it home. he took me back to my house and we played settler's of cattan with his brother and then after some arousal i pretty much passed out and didn't wake up until the next morning. the wedding was nice though and the alcohol helped me to feel a little mroe comfortable and be a little louder than usual. i had a good time.
their wedding was small also. the cake was from torrance bakery and omg. it was freaking delicious. there were about 100 people at the reception and the room was small and accomodated everyone very nicely. i liked the whole set up.
today christian and i went to ren faire which was actually a lot of fun. now that i'm more comfortable with my sexuality i'm more comfortabble being around that type of entertainment i think. except for the excessive PDA we saw while eating lunch. we watched my brother and dad die in battle pageant. watching my brother die was funny. he's so dramatic! and i had really good shepard's pie. my dad needs to make it more often. i also saw these really pretty pewter goblets that i want to buy eventually. seeing the boggards live was much more rewarding than listening to their CD in the car. i actually laughed and found it amusing instead of being absolutely appalled. lol. i guess it's a little different when you have 8 men thrusting their pelvis' singing about the navy banging lulu. the visuals help a ton. driving home was scary becuase christian fell asleep andi nearly did at the wheel. i seriously thought we weren't going to make it home. when christian saw how tired i was he got mad and said i should've woken him up to drive. which would've been preferable to us dying apparently. lol.
