keeping the chirstmas mood

lately I've seen a lot of people asking about christmas traditions! (like shyrofox in the twitter) and read this article (sorry is in spanish)
so I thought I'd ask here the same
what kind of traditions do you have in your country? what kind of food do you eat for christmas?
in my country (Peru) we eat panetone and drink hot chocolate... (probably a bit weird considering we live in the south hemisphere)... We also eat turkey...
we put around a christmas tree but some people also "assemble birth picture"(?)... (we put a small representation of the bible scene of jesus's birth)
yeah... and we watch a lot of american movies about christmas, and we spend the chirstmas eve in family! (though some people actually go to the church)... this country is supposed to be a very catholic one(?)
