Who: Cray & Belcoot
Where: Castle Grounds
What: Belcoot wanders the castle grounds as he re-acquaints himself with Budehuc, and happens upon a man with a dark history.

Belcoot: *taking a walk outside the castle grounds, working off the soreness in his body from his travel back to Budehuc Castle*

Cray: *is sitting in one of the taller trees on the grounds, at the highest point that will hold his weight, staring off into the distance and looking rather bored...*

Belcoot: *walking towards the tree as he goes when he notices the unfamiliar figure in the tree, making him stop in his tracks for a moment, a look of suspicion overcoming him* Excuse me...?

Cray: *looks down when he hears the voice of another* ... Yeah?

Belcoot: *looks ready to reach for his sword, but... his etiquette makes him stop before he draws it* ... Is there... any reason you're in a tree?

Cray: ... I like heights. Plus I used to live in a forest. *shrugs*

Belcoot: Did you...? *can't help but tilt his head a little, still cautious as he regards the man in the tree* Sorry, I did not recognise you, that is all. Then again, I have not been in Budehuc for a few months.

Cray: Yeah, the Forest of Moran, more commonly known as the Forest of Illusion. In the south of Scarlet Moon... well... it's Toran now... *stands up on the branch, then jumps down, landing neatly a few feet away from Belcoot* ... I only arrived here about two months ago.

Belcoot: *frowns a little at the usage of names, and then nods* You're from... quite a long time ago, then? Using those names.

Cray: Yeah... some century and a half ago apparently. *turns to Belcoot* My name's Cray, and you are?

Belcoot: *has grown not to be too surprised at something like that* My name is Belcoot. It's a pleasure to meet you, Cray. *thinks about it for a moment* ... Your name sounds familiar, but I cannot put a place to it.

Cray: *scratches the back of his head nervously* Yeah I was... uh... quite a famous name in the past...

Belcoot: Quite a famous name? *looks curious, but then just kind of shrugs a little* It seems like a lot of people have made quite a name for themselves before coming here. You're not alone in that then, I suppose.

Cray: Hm... well it's a name I wish I could cast away. But that doesn't seem possible.

Belcoot: Why is that? *that piques his interest a little* I'm told some believe that they have fresh starts here.

Cray: *Does really want to talk about that* ... Well... lets just say I wasnt famous for any good reasons...

Belcoot: *a little suspicious all over again, but he's respectful enough to just keep it in mind for another time or another person* ... I see. I won't push the issue, seeing that you seem to not want to speak of it.

Cray: No... I want to put it behind me. I'm a different person that I was then. I won't make the same mistakes twice...

Belcoot: The same mistakes...? *pauses, and then decides to change the topic, uneasy about not knowing this man's past when it seems to be... potentially controversial* Ah. Anyway. How are you finding Budehuc, Sir Cray?

Cray: ... It's alright. Though I'm kinda concerned about all this time and deathwarping going on.

Belcoot: I believe we all are. *crosses his arms, craning his neck a little as he watches Cray up in his tree* I'm worried that Gizel or Childerich or that sort will come calling eventually...

Cray: *has no idea who they are, though he might have passed the name in a History book* Hmm... I'd be more worried about the state of the world, personally. I wonder how all these changes are affecting it...

Belcoot: From my understanding, I would not be surprised if there were an older me out there somewhere... Otherwise we would've heard about many fighters going missing after or during wars, or so I'd assume. *wry smile as he imagines what kind of fuss that would kick up*

Cray: Possibly. Damn, that'd be freaky though, running into yourself...

Belcoot: There would be a lot of explaining to do, wouldn't there? *chuckles*

Cray: Yeah, that's if time and space didn't plain shatter from the sheer abnormality of it.

Belcoot: *seemed rather amused, but doesn't show it too much* I'm sure poor Viki would shoulder the blame for it all, too...

Cray: Viki? *doesn't know here either* ... Why would she take the blame? No one is responsible for this.

Belcoot: *looks surprised* You don't know of Viki? ... Ah, I had assumed almost everyone here somehow had knowledge of her, as strange as that sounds.

Cray: No... I never met anyone by that name,

Belcoot: Well, that's understandable, then. It would be unrealistic to assume all the residents of this castle knew her -- hundreds have passed through here, after all.

Cray: Yeah, and I'm pretty new here, I havn't met alot of people...

Belcoot: No? Is it your past stopping you from mingling, then?

Cray: To an extent, yeah. There are people here from the same time as me... and well.. its not pleasant

Belcoot: ... I believe I'm beginning to see what may have entailed, then. But I don't know the circumstances as of yet, and so I won't judge.

Cray: You can find out in any history book if you want to know... It wasn't nice. I regret it. But I ...wasn't in my right mind either. *sighs*

Belcoot: No? ... That can be hard to excuse, certainly.

Cray: Still, I know where I went wrong...

Belcoot: Well, that is a start, I can't deny that. *watches him, and then shakes his head* Forgive me. You have me at a disadvantage, and I cannot help being suspicious.

Cray: I don't blame you. You're free to hate me like the others... I deserve more than hatred.

Belcoot: Is that so? ... Well, I will regard you as a lesser evil than Gizel and Childerich for now, for what it's worth. For the sake of both of us. *slightly wary*

Cray: ... Alright.

Belcoot: *bows his head now, deciding to leave it to another time to place his judgement upon this man* Well. Perhaps I will see you around, Sir Cray.

Cray: Alright. See you. *turns around and walks back towards the castle*
