absurd, I say

School remains kinda horsesh**ish, but I'm dealing. I've been put into a group in one of my class... all black... some more quiet than others, and all strongly opinionated. I was just waiting for a balls out argument... wish granted, but I'll leave that story alone.

Ironman was awesome. Sam as Nick Fury... should've saw it coming. I dunno why it shocked me, when it had barely been a month when I read on wikipedia that they changed his likeness in the Ultimate universe to his very likeness.

Speed Racer. I heard the reviews. I heard the comments. But then I watched the 7 minute intro on Yahoo! and I couldn't have fell in love any faster. Everything that I remembered about the show was there. Straight cheese right out of the block. As my brother so eloquently put, "That was like watchin' F-Zero all over again." 'cept with tires. Spritle wasn't as annoying as I thought he would be, which was a huge plus. He and Chim Chim were actually really funny.

My only real gripe was that they played Speed as a one trick pony, considering he was generally very bright and knew a lot about cars, though towards the end of the movie they did show him actually working on the car and not simply driving it, which followed the last gripe... the Mach 6. Slappin' that six on there probably killed any fanboy notions I had, but not the overall feel I was going for in the first place.

It's downright silly from start to finish. Anyone with a glimmer of their kiddy side left in them will enjoy it. It's that simple.
