Let there be a Ninja Army! .. and a cleric... you know... just in case
So I've bought the newly remade Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion Wars... the new fully cg cutscenes are nice, along with the new script... totally ripped from from XII dialect-wise. It took a minute to get used to their intentional use of k's in place of c's (akademy for example) though the most ardent misspelling came when Ovelia started screaming something about not being able to bear something... bear? I'm sure they meant bare. I'd hate to have to bear somebody... summoners would be totally awesome then :P
But as of this post, Haven finally gotten Luso, I've finally gotten around to raising my rotten ninja army (It's so tedious ; ;) for the sake of doing expeditions heretoafter referred to as simply errands. I figure if a ninja whatever can't do the job, it obvious wasn't worth doing.
The requirements to get Dark Knight is nothing short of ridiculous. Master Knight and Black Mage, then 5 ninja, sam, and something else... and the kicker... turn 12 defeated enemies into crystals.... though that's kind of easy if you're doing the whole, charm enemy, beat your ally trick to level your n00bs.
After getting luso straight out the bucket at 25, I'm sore to see why SE felt the need to make Cloud lvl 1 after crossing the lifestream... sure he's f***ed in the head, but last I checked, a normal player's character was easily nearing 40... how that translates to lvl 1 is anyone's guess. But he has an instant kill limit break (even works on bosses, the broken bastard) So I'm not complaining too hard, minus the bajillion side quests to get him... I'll have little room for my ninja army... and white mage.
The JP Glitch has been fixed, so now you can't cheat. Some skills have been raised significantly jp wise, so it's hard to max them out without JP Boost.... a la any mage -_-
Also, I assume it's online thing, 'cause you can still name Ramza, even though he's always referred to by his given name in the cutscenes. I think a cool touch would've been a selective color pallet for NPC's... the're all basically clones when they change jobs... would've been nice if I could've given them some sort of individuality... then I could make my own power rangers squad... and white mage XD
I'm still on chapter 3 and just lovin' how broken Ramza is, regardless of what silly job he takes. Though the beefed up AI, makes for some really interesting boss battles. Like they will seriously beat you black and blue if you're not smart/uber agressive (Don't Act/break weapon/steal weapon/stop/slow makes for a pushover fight however).
Really, I'm just waiting on Crisis Core to hit America, though there's this music editing game I wanted to get... looks like it could be fun... also some tactics co-op would be fun too.
On that note however, I'm going to drop out now to get ready for work. Life is great, Life is grand -_-
