Hmm... The rifts were started by a hot-headed drow wanting to converge the two worlds into one, so she could enslave them both and take over every network in the known universe. To top it off, she had 2 dragons goin' about kidnapping various individuals with special abilities, to create and maintain a super portal big enough to drag the two worlds together.

Naturally she's a crazy person, and everyone was well aware her plan would really just blow everyone the f*** up, and the drow that actually captured you, though apart of her house, were actually trying to stop her.... well not intentionally. At first it was all fun and games, and they were even thinking of going along with it until the b***h went stark raving mad.

Your guy's role was that you guys were likea counterbalance to her plan. The people she were kidnapping would pull the worlds together, while you guys were capable of cutting them off from each other for good. Not to mention you spoke "human"... cept you... but everyone else spoke the sh**, and they could rally the necessary forces to distract her while you beat some sense into her.

So... in a nutshell, world domination by a power mad TV exec trying to bring bad TV to not just one planet but two.

... or something to that effect. Side quests not included o_O
