I do wonder, if the ideas you hold regarding those soldiers would change if you were aware of their reasons...whatever they may be. Would it be possible for you to accept their actions, perhaps even feel pity towards them?

There is nothing in the world that warrants the kind of slaughter they attempted. attacking completely innocent and defenseless people... killing people in cold blood who did nothing to them....

Is that not the way of the world in many other cases? It is, some might say, a rule that only the strong will survive. Of course, with the scientists bringing the dead back to life, even that lesson is weakened.

There are still laws, there are still things people don't cross.... Anywhere else these actions would not be forgiven, reguardless of the reasoning.

We are hardly under the jurisdiction of any government now. Those "laws" are little more than internal values you hold.
