Hello my little evacu-ees (my spelling is deplorable, I know)
Good news! My brother evacuated!!! And I'm happy to know Rita (Skeeter) changed her course.
Ok, ladies and gentleman, my last 24 hours have been quite interesting. After school, I went home, watched PotO (and cried my eyes out), and then I went to see Broadway's Aida (and cried my eyes out). When I got home, my family was all waiting for me. They told me to close my eyes and when I opened them, I saw a cake! Somebody had rung the doorbell, left a cake, and took off! The card on top of the cake said, "Camilla, roses are red, violets are blue, I want to go to homecoming with you! My name is inside this cake -- Dig in!"
My jaw DROPPED. Not only was someone asking ME to Homecoming, but they even spelt my name correctly! lol
I didn't even wait for dad to take a picture but just dug my hands into the cake. The boy's name is Todd, and he's really sweet and easy to talk to. We walked home together yesterday (small towns rock) and he's quite enjoyable.
That was the good part.
The bad part:
Homecoming here is FORMAL. Formal dresses, corsages, updoes and all. I can't get that all arranged in less than two days!
The badder part:
I'm scheduled to work Saturday night...dun dun DUNN! I'm determined to go to Homecoming, though, even if it costs me my job.
Yikes!
