Why I hate my job.
Yesterday I came home and went to sleep.
I woke up. Left for work at 11:30PM. Got to work at 12:00AM. Fueled. Did paperwork. Left Sharonville,OH at 12:30 AM. I drove 5.5 hours down to Nashville,TN. Spent 1 hour unloading. Drove another 5.5 hours back to Sharonville,OH. Left the yard at 1:00PM.
My boss called to tell me that I didn't have to come in until 10:00 AM the next morning to shuttle trailers all day. This sucks, but means I get to stay up/spend time w/mi lady.
I don't sleep. Why would I? I don't have to go to bed until midnight now. I don't have to work tonight right?
Change in plans.
My other boss calls.
"I need you to cover route 39 again." (Nashville)
"Uh, okay. I haven't slept."
So here I am, four hours away from having to leave Cincy to head down to Nashville. 11 hours of driving, 1 hour unloading, another hour of miscellaneous shit. All on a few...couple hours of sleep.
"We'll put you up in a hotel tomorrow."
What they don't understand is. Is that this can't be done. If I'm not back tomorrow, everything is fucked up for the weekend.
