The gall of some people. I'm not sure if I even like this guy, but he was a year my junior in Secondary School and JC, and then in the Armed Forces. He's now a doctor.

My client doesn't use such services so I don't have good precedents for name change. But your approach is sensible - suggest you ask around if others have *recent* examples. All you need is some sort of convincing proof to give to ICA and the deed poll is nothing more than a unilateral contract to the world at large.
