Estrella War
I've decided not to go this year.
It was a hard decision for me to make. I wanted to be totally selfish when Jamison offered to have me go instead of him, but honestly he *has* a reason to be there. It's an opportunity for him to fight til
he is exhausted which only happens but once or twice a year (Lilies is way too hot to fight like that), and he's a Champion, so he can fight in the Champions Tournament for Prince Lorell.
Seeing my Outlands and Caidan friends was to be the highlight of my war. (Well, and the shopping, which last year was a little underwhelming...) People I used to know are K&Q of Caid which makes me sad, I am not apart of our K&Q's retinue (which I was last year) and I just had no real justifiable reason to go.
We have a new federal grant in our office, which as of the first of the year, I am the admin assistant for. It's a pay raise and a title change. There is a major meeting for this grant on Feb 5-8 for which I need to be there and taking notes for. The federal directors of this grant will be present. There will be much discussion and movement in our office in the weeks afterwards to put some major details/players into place. Guilt at not being here was getting the best of me.
Maybe it's for the best. We're going to try and send Jamison at all costs.
EDIT: Jamison corrected me, we won't be sending him "at all costs". If it happens, it happens, if it doesn't oh well, we tried.
