So I have 5 tunics to make for Sir William. He apparently used to covet what I made for my ex and when we discussed doing some sewing for him, I told him that I work usually in high contrasting tones, and he was cool with that. So on the board we have:
- one red under tunic with gold trim, handsewing the neck line in linen, (I cut the neckline out last night and it looks too small, so I’ll need to get him to try it on before I kill myself with the handsewing.)
- Coordinating tan and creme wool super tunic with white and rust trim
This set due by the end of the year.
and
- one under tunic of a green and golden yellow small plaid cotton
- over tunic of light golden yellow linen with forest green, orange and golden yellow brocade as segmentae & clavii.
This set due by Estrella War.
And lastly, a navy silk noil tunic (to be worn alone) with navy, gold, burgundy and green trim. Not sure when the due date is yet.
I have both under tunics cut and mostly sewn. I plan to finish the red one by the end of this week, and start the wool super tunic on Sunday. If he is available, I’d like to fit the tunics Sunday too. Thank goodness he lives close to me!
I’ll post pictures as I get them.
