I went to Louisiana for Easter. I had mostly a good time if I completely ignore the ignorance that was displayed far too many times. I'll just pretend that never happened.
Friday we cooked gumbo and boiled eggs for some early pocking on Saturday. I napped outside in the yard, wondered around and took a bunch of pics. That night I hung out with my cousin Heather and had ALLIGATOR SUSHI. No joke, it was amazing.
Saturday was the crawfish boil. The crawfish were pretty small this year, but still quite tasty.
We killed a snake and
ate a lot of food Sunday I followed Pa around his garden and took more random pictures. The roses you see in this set were created by my great-great-great-great-grandmother and has been passed down ever since. They have become famous around the area as my grandparents give cut ones to people. They are really quite unique. That night I hung out with my cousin Ali for the first time just the two of us and had a really great time. We totally have to hang out more.
Monday I made my first gumbo with help from Pa. It has every piece of the chicken (besides feathers, skin, and the dangerous stuff) in it as well as tasso and sausage. Ali finished her first scarf for Harrison her cat. I took more pictures of random stuff.
