Didn't go to any classes today. Good thing I only have two, but it still sucks.
Sooo....got up this morning and went to Appel. They were kind enough to take me as a walk-in right away (maybe because I looked like death.....?) and I got to see the same doctor I saw Friday. Or was it Thursday..? I can't remember. Ugh. This is bad....anywho. So the doctor looked me over, and he said that I don't have mono or strep, which is good. The bad news is that it's either a really, really, really, really, REALLY bad cold, or I've got the flu. Then, here was our convo:
Doctor: Well, I think you've got the flu. We'll take some blood tests and a chest x-ray to see.
Me: thinking: wait,wait,wait, what!?? did you say bloodwork!??!??...Bloodwork?
Doctor: Yeah. And an x-ray. Your left lung sounds kinda funny.
Me:oh noooo I think he really DID say that I needed bloodwork! oh no NEEDLES???!?!?!?Ok....
Doctor:Yep. Both procedures are simple, so don't worry. [((I guess I must have had a really really scared look on my face at that point))] In fact, we can do the bloodwork right now!
Me:Right now?oh fuck.....
Doctor:Yeah. Just head over to the lab. You know where it is, right?
Me:awwwww maaaaaan I'm gonna get blood drawn! I'm gonna die!!Um, yeah...I know where it is. Should I head over there now?
Doctor:Good. Yeah, you can go over there now and you'll get the x-ray at the hospital. Ok?
Me:I'm gonna die I'm gonna die I'm gonna die!!Ok. Thanks a lot.yeah...thanks a lot for giving me a death sentence....
Doctor:Yep, sure thing. I hope you feel better!
Me:Thanks.I don't wanna goooooooo!!!!!! :weeps:

At the Lab:

Nurse:Hi! How are you? Not so hot, huh? Well, I'll just take a tiny vial of your blood so we can getcha better! Ok? :shows me the vial:
Me:Sure :weak smile: "tinyl vial" she said? "TINY"??!?! I am sooo screwed.
Nurse:Ok, so lie down..Ooooh, you've got some good veins! This'll be quick! You won't feel a thing! :shows me the needle:
Me:Oh. :faints: Oh... :faints:
~~~~~
Ok..so I didn't really faint...but I came really really close to it. And I feel bad, because the nurse was so nice and I was trying so hard not to think about the needle but I did anyway, and she tried to get my mind off it by talking about Christmas and I was thinking "wait, Christmas? Icicles are like needles! AHHH" and, and....well. You get the point. But we went through the "procedure" without any real problems, and now I'm waiting for my mom to get here to take me to Lancaster Regional Hospital. She should have been here at 1:00, but she got delayed by construction. :( Oh well. She should get here soon, so I'll finish here. I'm not worried about x-rays though...they don't hurt...and they aren't scary....later guys.
