Day 2 - House Repairs
Today was our second day working on the house. More exhaustion and really painful feet and back. Ben's parents and his sister helped us out. Sarah and her friend cleaned the kitchen, which was awesome. They cleaned out the fridge and the grease on the wall. I'm not sure if they did other stuff or not. Marilyn and I tried to get the electrical outlets grounded but found out that they couldn't be. Well actually we got one to work, after we tried twice... Then two outlets that tested positive for grounding failed when we actually tried to ground them. So we're going to have to call in an electrician to see what's up. Ben and his dad worked all day on the siding, and we pitched in at some points to help. It took most of the day and three trips to home depot to get the walls prepped (water barrier, window trim, and j-channels up. Towards the very end we finally got a few pieces of siding up. I had to leave at that point to go pick up our dogs from Dwin's. I'm not sure yet how much more they got done in the half hour or so that they kept working. Guess I'll find out soon! Ben's on his way home. Oh, and I also caulked the tub.
