Oh, Life. Universities and Whatnot

Heeeey, changes to my journal! But that's not all!

So I got accepted to all of the universities (and one college) that are on my prospective list!...well, except for two, but they don't send their acceptance letters out until mid-December. But at least the most important universities that I'm interested in have already accepted me. And have already offered me Presidential scholarships. One even invited me to come to an interview (and write an essay) as a potential candidate for the uni's full tuition! Yay!

The only problem is the one university that I'm aiming for doesn't send out its full tuition invitations until late December, and I'm hoping I get an opportunity for that interview. But I won't know until late December. How nerve wracking!

Senior year of high school is going splendidly, though. For the most part. Sometimes I wonder why I joined IB, but then I have to remember that it played an important role in my college acceptance. Not that my grades didn't help a lot. Actually, I probably could've made it in with grades alone. Oh well.

Ah, bloody Theory of Knowledge title! I'm really growing tired of TOK and the paper I have to write. As if my Extended Essay wasn't already enough. Watch. One day, if I ever bother to change my major and go into Classical Greek, I can just pull out my EE, polish it up, and present it. I mean, it's about Greek mythology, its influence over the Ancient Greeks, how it influences American culture today, and how the teachings from Greek mythology are still applicable to society today. BAM. Yes, that's IB for you. We go college-level synthesis. And it's...sometimes...so-so. Comme-ci comme-ça.

Ah, French. I need to find myself a French pen pal who's willing to let me write to him/her in French. And edit my writing. Because I can't stand bad writing in any language, and in order to practise what I preach, I need to improve on my French. :P Yeah, I'm that much of a stickler for proper language.

Maybe one day I'll allow lj to cross-post my entries to facebook. When chickens create a gigantic tornado that flings a full grown woman across her yard. Ha! I made a Como Agua Para Chocolate reference! orz IB English is getting to me.

I need sleep.
