Got my
book from Amazon today. Looks good. A nice blend of current work (evolution) and old (development). Biological systems are just so fascinating. A pity I have to put it on the end of my reading list. Currently reading
this publication on Afghanistan. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get a picture of the complexities and challenges of an interesting country. My friend
Cosma has the
definitive list of texts on Afghanistan. I must track down the photo book his grandfather compiled. Am also reading
this book, but it's probably a little bit on the technical side for my more casual readers.
As of today, I'm now on the committee for the
8th Asia-Pacific Complex Systems Conference. Not that there's much work left to do in my role (for which I have Alex to thank, for all of his hard work). But a few things. I'm also presenting a paper, and a separate piece of software at it.
This blog seems to have a growing readership. It's funny, when I'm sitting here writing my blog, I feel like I'm talking to myself, but then I meet people online, and
in real life, and I realise what an extroverted activity blogging is.
