non-no (vol. 19) Aiba and Nino's Talk

More translation from me. This time is Aiba and Nino's talk in non-no, which came out on September 20. Notice this is different from MEN'S NON-NO. But this interesting interview has a lot of member love, especially between this pair of childhood friends!
The words in a darker gray in [ ] are my comments/notes. Feel free to skip over them if you prefer to simply read the translation alone.
IMPORTANT: I know that somebody has posted the translation to this already, quite a while ago actually. I have to say that they did a much better and more accurate job than I did. I saw them post theirs up while I was still doing mine, so I sorta took a break in the middle. Now, I just want to finish this 'cause I don't like leaving things incomplete. I'm not expecting many people to read my version or to have many comments on this either. Also, this is my own work. I didn't steal it from the earlier posted version, which I read after I did mine. And I'm very sorry for making any mistakes because I'm far from being fluent in Japanese. This is just like a practice and an attempt for me to improve/retain my skills. I don't always translate everything word for word.

Vol. 1 Love of Arashi
Each issue, two members will have a relay conversation on a theme. Something worth commemorating for this first time is the love confession to Arashi!?
The first round got to be a check on Arashi's biggest attractive point = good relationship with each other! For this, we have Aiba, who is said to be the most emotional among all the members, and Nino, who claims to like Arashi the most, to talk about their love for their members. ♥
Because we're baka and normal, we love Arashi. Isn't saying it like that a bit gross? (laugh)
Aiba: The first relay that's worth commemorating seems to be us two.
Nino: Mah, isn't that natural? (laugh) And, the topic is..."love"!? Isn't that kinda gross!? Let's have a conference on the strategy! (Then, the two put their heads close together and start talking softly.)
Aiba: If we sell ourselves too much this first time, the readers may get mad and not continue reading, ne?
Nino: Right. (thinking) But I think it's okay if we just cut into a deep conversation.
Aiba: Really!? Then, shall we try and approach it that way? (laugh) (sits straight) Umm...from the start, when Nino and I were juniors, our relationship was already good. In Arashi, we've been together for an especially long time ne.
Nino: Since the direction to our home was the same, we always rode the train back together ne. Like that, even now when we are done with work, we'll naturally ask, "Shall we eat and then go back?"
Aiba: The time we've spent together is perhaps more than the time I'm with my family. Nino, he basically hasn't changed from the past. Especially his stiffness when he's doing something that he's skillful at. It's only that his ideal partner has changed from Tamagochi to magic.
[lol! tamagochi! so much fun back in those days. i had a few of them too. xD i like how aiba says nino's "ideal partner." ♥]
Nino: My impression of Aiba-chan is...
Aiba: I think I have a lot of good points, please just list a few. (laugh)
Nino: We're exactly opposites. Like you get weary when you're not good at something. (laugh) [or give up something easily] Like snowboarding, snorkeling, and darts. You try a lot of various things but you don't continue many of them. Such as darts, you're hopeless. (grin)
Aiba: Shut up. (laugh) I'm a guy who wins with power rather than control!
Nino: Mah, that's the appeal of Aiba-chan. Among Arashi members, each person has surprising, attractive points.
Aiba: Matsujun seens DoS at first sight, but he's really gentle. When I had a cold, he gave me a 1000 yen pill without hesitation. Although Sho-chan looks intellectual, he's an idiot.
[more evidence of jun really taking care of his fellow members! a smart yet dorky sho is the reason why i love him. <3]
Nino: When you go to karaoke with him, a commotion will usually rise up. like you'll be complained.
Aiba: To the point where you get all sweaty and need a towel because you're so hyped up. Lastly, Riida is...he always looks sleepy no matter what. (laugh) But when he does things that he likes, he's the kind of person who's okay with not sleeping!
Nino: Recently, it seems like he'll go night fishing right after work... (looks at old photos) Nonetheless, Arashi is really "normal people" gathered together ne. We're always energetic and don't think about consequences, until we're so tired that we have "abnormal minds."
[huh? abnormal minds? ok. i don't think i translated it 100% right...but that's sorta the general meaning.]
Aiba: Because we have zero ability to pace our energy distribution. (laugh)
Nino: Right, right. Even with that kind of baka-ness and imperfection, I like it! Aiba-chan, you?
Aiba: (full of emotions) For me, when we hold concerts, I can feel the "5 people" together and think that "it's wonderful to be in Arashi."
Nino: (without any delay) If you can feel the "5 people," then why do you often stand in the wrong spot!?
Aiba: Ehh, that's...I thought "everyone is working hard, so I have to work hard too!" and put too much effort into thinking that. All my actions are done because of my love for Arashi! (laugh)
