After posting the last survey here and on MySpace I was bombarded by messages from people berating me for failure to see Requiem for A Dream.
Requiem is apparantly the cool movie to see. Sort of like Donnie Darko. And Donnie Darko was a big disappointment when I finally saw it. Actually, every movie that people have ever gawked at me for not seeing, when I finally saw it there was only disappointment.
I think that is why I'm resisting watching Requiem...Potential let-down and just because everyone tells me to. Don't tell me how to live my life, dammit!
I'm in the process of moving right now. I have taken out a lot of boxes, and have slightly under 1/2 of my stuff still left in my apartment. Tomorrow is going to be a big packing and cleaning day. Hopefully I can store my desk, bookshelf, and bed in the practice space. Then I basically just have clothes left and a bunch of crap that needs to be thrown in the garbage.
I think I should be alright.
Then I move out on Tuesday and go who knows where, because I am homeless for 5 days. Any suggestions?
Getting busy on booking some local shows through the end of June. It should be a nice schedule. We just booked a show on June 12th at Never On Sunday's, and May 24th with Let Her Die Gorgeous, Sayonara Tiger, and The Junior Varsity (Victory Records) at The Blue Note. The second will be all ages, and should be a big show. Help us promote and spread the word, please.
Towards the end of June we should be booking a couple of 'nati shows and bringing in some of our out-of-state friends, which we're excited about.
Continually booking for our west coast tour, and hopefully we'll get some breaks really soon.
It's pretty warm out today. Maybe winter is finally behind us...in May...
Relatively bored right now, since packing isn't something that intrigues me too much right now.
I've been listening to a lot of Nine Inch Nails lately. The new album is sweet.
