I just wrapped up a Friday night/ Saturday recording session with local Math Rock band The Sacoth, definetly some of the best work I've ever done although I may just be biased in the fact that I love these guys and I'm the one who tracked it but the mixes are definetly the best i've ever done. I've gotten to the point where I'm trying to find crazy things to do with my mixes to keep them from being straight forward. Theres one song on here that I took a crazy LFO filter and slapped it across a mono room mic and then bussed it out to a stereo pair of faders and it's doing all this crazy panning and shit and just annhilates the mix. It all sounds fucking wicked. But I am biased. I'll post links when It's online, it reminds me of Autolux meets The Mars Volta with some Portugal of the Man thrown in without the crazy(shitty) vox.
