Since playing in the pick up games and going to the practices I have noticed the 3 biggest problems I need to solve as a player.
1. I need to catch the disc when I lay out, I have been able to conquer my fear of laying out and now do so often, however I cannot catch the disc, I can only get a hand on it. I feel this will come with practice but it is important to me that I do this soon, what is the point of laying out to the disc if it still hits the ground in the end?
2. I cannot huck, at least not with any sort of consistency or distance, I need to improve this greatly if I am to be a useful player.
3. I need to be more aggressive about my cuts, I have a habit of standing there unsure of whether the lanes are open, I need to be able to quickly assess the situation and make the appropriate cut.
now these are not my only weaknesses, I still need to improve the consistency of my throws as a whole and I am not as fast as I would like to be. Also my jump timing still needs work.
I have so much work to do I hope I can get better in time to be useful to the team.
