Of Skanden & Karaoke

May 22, 2008 15:28

Soooooooo, it's been a bit since I've posted. I've had a miyavi concert, lolita meetup, multiple Prince Caspian viewings, and a really unfortunate viewing of the live action Death Note movie. So! First things first, here's the pictures from Thanh's camera of our karaoke lolita meetup:

Follow his majesty to the lolis... )

And yes, I feel like a dirty old pervert because Skandar is only 16... I swear, I'm going straight to hell! But it's really his fault... maybe he should've gotten uglier hahaha

Have you been to Mitsuwa in Kearny Mesa before?? It's in that same area, right off of Convoy Street. I forget the name, but there's 2 karaoke places there, and the one we went to was a restaurant and karaoke joint where you get your own room and everything. It was so much fun!

anyhow, i looked it up and found Muzen and Chorus, were either of those where you went? do they have an up to date-ish Japanese song selection?

Oh no, it's not Sing Young. Take the road behind Sing Young (exit the Mitsuwa shopping center), make a left, that'll take you to Convoy Street. Make a right and follow the road down to 4620 Convoy Street. The 2 karaoke places are on the left hand side of the road (you'll should see a sign from the road), one called J Music Studio and the other is Min Sok Chon, the big restaurant in the back of that little area. That's the one we went to where you can order food and get your own room and such. They had a really good selection of Japanese songs, I mean everyone pretty much found what they were looking for ^___^ I havn't tried the other karaoke place, but I think it's the same deal where you rent out a room. Only they don't serve food there and I'm not sure about the song selection.

Also, right behind J Music Studio is a PuriKura picture place and a good tea place :)
