I'm sad, because the weather has turned. I'm happy, because Cheroon is here. I'm even happier, because he cleaned up my archaic computer. It's still pretending to be a coffee-maker, but at least it's no longer simply uglying up my room. Yeehaa! Yesterday we went to the museum, cooked salmon and watched SG Atlantis (my new favourite show, together with House MD, although I don't understand how non-medicals can like it, I mean, I sometimes don't even get what they're talking about) Today we just slept in, walked through carless streets and ate pastry.
Cheroon's going back to Groningen in a few hours, and I allmost wish I could come with him. Not just because I'll miss him, but also because I miss Groningen. It's allmost making me a real Grunninger, Last friday I found myself discussing why Groningen was so much cooler than Leiden with one of my fellow students, who'd also studied there. We sounded like a bunch of old immigrants 'everything was better back home' 'yes sirree' 'the buildings are nicer' 'the people are nicer' 'the park is bigger' 'everybody knows your name' 'people say hi in the streets' 'I bet even the skies are bluer, it's something to do with the fresh air'
When we got to 'you'll be able to smell the sugarbeetrefinery in a few weeks' and both sighed longingly, people around us started getting up and moving to different seats while looking at us in a funny way. It all comes down to one thing: it's fun here, but it's not Groningen.
