This is the typed log of Jason Gomez, dated September Twenty-Eight, Two-Thousand and Five.
First I would like to say that I've always liked the idea of every time I get a new car its a little bit older than the last. I thought of that on my own and wish I could continue it. But...
I know this is somethin that most people that know me would never think they would hear me say.
But I think i need a 90's 4 seater. I like 80's cars because I like the way they look and handle, and I like 2 seaters because I dont like people poking me in the back of the head or disrespecting my car (aka. trash, spillin drinks). The problem with 80's cars is they're all so old. Every time I go out to tune or fix somethin I come across at least ONE nut or bolt thats completely rusted. It breaks off when I'm trying to take it out, and I'm left standing there like ".........Yep". And the problem with 2 seaters is when a friend of mine (Biz or Jesse) and I want to go somewhere and then somebody else wants to come (Bob or Trevor) I have to say "AHH HA, SUCKER", and as much as I like saying that to people I wouldnt want to be the odd man out.
Now dont think I'm goin completely Steven and changing my style to 90's, which would mean drooling over the newest Supra, FD, or Eclipse. I've just realized that I've gotten ahead of myself as far cars go. I'm not ready to handle 80's cars yet, I need to work up to it. So I'm going back a few steps to about the time I got my Integra. Those that remember the Integra would remember the Freedom and Reliability that was brought with it. Although its not many years younger than 86, Its style was completely different. I am going to be wandering into 90's styling, but the the car that I've chosen's first year was actually 89. I've also heard some say its the offspring of the 80's powerhouse I drive now.
But the engine in my 300zx is being held back by its primitive design. In other words. Theres not much I can do to upgrade it. Plus its soo old that if I start taking things out I'm afraid the new parts wont fit or work, because its just too old. My car of choice (The only 90's car that I could see myself driving) is the '89 - '94 Nissan 240sx (Japanese code 180sx). My research shows that the one I'm looking for (body and engine) went from '91 - '93. Black or Red with black rims. Inline 4 cyl, DOHC, 4 valves per cyl, Front Engine, Rear wheel drive. I've always liked this car, why fight it?
