The kingdom’s trumpets sounded loudly. The entire kingdom cheered. After thirteen years of ruling, the king had finally been bestowed a son. His name was Yuu, but he was affectionately called Aoi. He was a beautiful child with the darkest hair and ivory skin. The most stunning thing about his appearance was his eyes. The left was an ice blue, while the other was a charcoal black. King Heath treasured him more than anything.
Ten years later…
“Prince Aoi, the guests will be arriving soon,” said a servant, “King Heath requested you wear your formal clothes.”
“Alright, sure…” Aoi waved them away.
The dark haired boy went to his closet and pulled his clothing out. He put on his formal clothes, which consisted of a white mid-drift vest with long coat tails and black slacks which were embroidered with a silver design. He smirked, admiring himself in the mirror.
“Hopefully, father won’t notice the alteration I made to these clothes.”
He proceeded out of his room and headed toward the throne room. As he did, he saw the first set of guests entering the stone palace.
“Kai!!” he called.
The skinny brunet boy turned and saw the prince. He smiled and looked to his father.
“May I go speak with Aoi, daddy?” he asked.
“Of course, Kai. Go ahead,” his father smiled, patting his head.
The skinny boy skipped over to the older.
“Hello, Prince Aoi,” he grinned.
“Oh, come on,” Aoi smirked, “It’s not like we have to be formal.”
Kai grinned more, hugging Aoi tightly. Aoi patted his back.
“How very inappropriate,” came a voice.
The two looked up at the voice. A tall man with pale brown hair stood by them.
“King Kiyoharu!!” Aoi called.
The king smirked at them. A small pale blond boy emerged from behind him.
“Be a good boy, Ruki,” the brunet king smiled, walking away.
“No promises, father,” his son smirked.
“Man, Ruki! Your dad scared us!!” Kai whined.
“Well, you’re not the only one who gets to hug Aoi!!”
Ruki threw his arms around Aoi and hugged him tightly. The ebony haired boy smiled, patting the smaller’s head.
“Are Uruha and Reita coming?” the brunet asked.
Aoi nodded. “Mhm. They’ll be here soon.”
“Let’s go to the throne room!” Ruki cried.
The three went in; all looking so different in appearance, it was hard to believe they were friends. Each displayed their home countries’ traits.
King Heath sat at the head of the table which had been set. To his left sat King Kiyoharu and to his right sat King Ryuichi. Beside each of them, there was a chair for their child to sit.
“Aren’t there two more kings coming?” Ruki asked, “There’s only one more side to the table.”
“King Yoshiki and King Sugizo always sit beside each other,” Kai smiled.
Before anyone else could say anything, the doors opened and four people entered. The first two were beautiful adults, adorned in flowing robes and accented with gold and silver. Behind them proceeded two children, who were clad in similar robes but much smaller.
“Welcome, King Sugizo and King Yoshiki,” Aoi bowed, stepping out of the way.
Unsure what to do, Kai and Ruki copied him. The two kings smiled kindly at them and took their seats at the end of the table. The two children smiled at the three who were bowing.
“Hi, guys,” the taller, honey blond smiled.
“Hello, Uruha,” Kai smiled whole-heartedly.
Uruha hugged his friends. They then looked at the blond standing beside him.
“Still wearing that ugly piece of cloth on your nose?” Ruki smirked, taunting the taller blond.
The boy growled at him. He gingerly touched the band which stretched across his nose. “Do not insult Mademoiselle Nosedress.”
“Good to see you too, Reita,” Aoi laughed, patting the boy on the back.
The five boys laughed and talked, catching up with each other.
“Boys, come to the table,” Heath called.
They immediately dispersed, going to sit in their designated spot beside their fathers. Right after that, the meal began. The boys spoke across the table using certain signs with their eyes and hands. After a while, Aoi was more drawn to the conversation which was being had by the many kings in the room.
“Heath, you’re planning to expand your kingdom once more?” Yoshiki asked.
“Yes, actually. I wanted to talk about that. It is a part of your kingdom actually, Kiyoharu.”
“Why do you want my kingdom?” Kiyoharu replied, gingerly eating something off his fork.
“I actually want the land that’s right on your border.”
“Oh! You’re referring to those few villages which have resisted being peacefully conquered.”
“Yes, those. I decided I should invade. Due to it being just near your border, I might cross over into your land.”
“Well, I suppose that would be alright. You’ll send me a gift, won’t you?”
“Why, of course. Each of your kingdoms will receive a fine harem boy from that area.”
“I hear they’re very beautiful there,” Ryuichi nodded, “The pictures I’ve seen show they’re all extremely enchanting.”
“I won’t need a harem boy,” Sugizo chipped in.
“For your son, then? You also, Yoshiki?” Heath nodded.
“Well, Reita won’t be inheriting the harem anytime soon,” the dirty blond king laughed some.
“Neither will Uruha,” Sugizo nodded, lightly patting Yoshiki’s hand.
“Why can’t I have the harem, papa?” Uruha asked.
“We’ll discuss that when you’re older, Kouyou.”
Uruha nodded, smiling at his father.
Aoi looked at his father then. “What exactly is a harem, father?”
Heath chuckled. “Basically, they’re people who are there to preserve your pleasure at all times.”
“Really?” he blinked.
“Mhm. You can have it when you’re older.”
“Alright!”
Heath smiled at his son.
“Shall we take this conversation elsewhere?” Ryuichi asked.
The kings rose.
“Yes, we shall,” Heath nodded. “Finish your meals, boys. Oh and Aoi.”
Everyone looked at Aoi as Aoi looked up at his father. “Yes?”
“Don’t think I didn’t notice the alteration to your clothes. Get them fixed up immediately.”
Aoi paled. He then nodded. “Yes, father.”
The kings then exited the room. The four children burst into laughter.
“He embarrassed you in front of all of us!!” Ruki giggled.
Aoi frowned. “Shut up.”
Uruha got up. “I want to go play!!”
The five got up and left the throne room, running out into the palace gardens. They chased each other for a while and climbed trees, having boyish fun. In the end, they all lay on the grass in a circle, pointing out clouds in the sky.
“It’s fun when we all get to see each other,” Kai smiled.
“Yeah,” Reita agreed.
“Let’s all sleep in Aoi’s chambers!” Uruha giggled.
“Agreed!” Ruki called.
“Prince Aoi!! Your father would like you to return to the castle!!” called a servant.
The five got up and ran back to the castle.

Thank you for reading. This was written for my own entertainment and I quite enjoyed it. It'll take a few chapters for the plot to really be revealed, but I hope it'll be interesting. If you liked it, please comment. It depends on the comments if I post up the others chapters I've typed up. :)
