Cosplay Cutoff

Aug 15, 2005 14:43

Here is the deal. Otakon 2005 is in 4 days, cosplays are being completed as we speak. And yet there are people who say >.< it's not done, OMG, and make no attempt to find me so it can be completed. Well, children, I have reached my limit. For the 2006 cosplay season, I will be doing atleast 8 cosplays of my own. If anyone wants a cosplay made for them by me, you now have to pay a fee as I see fit. You will also be held responsible for getting the materials I request for it. Understand, children? NO MORE FREEBIES. I AM FED UP OF GETTING STUCK WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK. This is not to say that everyone I commissioned was a bastard about it, I worked with some really awesome people this year. But come next year, there will be no exceptions to my new rule. The minimum labor fee is going to be $20 per cosplay. Here is my new set of ground rules:

1) If you request a cosplay, please give me a maximum of 24 hours to decide if I can complete it. Just because you want it doesn't necessarily mean I can make it. Remember that I am not the Goddess of sewing, I have my limits.
2) I will need all materials requested as soon as possible after I agree to making a cosplay. I will be more than happy to go with you to get it, however you are paying for it yourself.
3) Be nice. If I am in the process of making your cosplay and you are acting like a complete ass, chances are I will take shortcuts and though the cosplay was completed, it will probably fall apart on you.
4) Constructive Criticism vs. White Gloves- If I make a mistake and you notice it, bring it back to me and kindly point it out to me...however don't come to me if there's a stain in it...then I will tell you to buy some bleach and fix it yourself.
5) Pay me. I will not begin a cosplay before recieving my payment. So don't request one if you're broke
6) For best quality work, please request atleast a month before the convention you plan to attend.

NO EXCEPTIONS
