Interesting Thought Redux

Ah I just remembered what the interesting thought was: I don't know how many of ya'll out there know about google maps, but its a pretty cool site. If you go to maps.google.com there are topographic and local maps that cover the entire breadth of the United States. To navigate the map just click and drag your way to the location desired. Lets say we want to look up a friend's house.

Firstly, I'd double click on Oregon, bend OR I could just type in the location bar. Then I would zoom in the map some more until I found his address and street. After making sure that I have it centered on his probable location (by double clicking), click the link that says satellite next to the map link and voila, there is either a high or low res satellite image of my friends house!

NB: Try looking at the white house and the US capital building from satellite imagery.
