Title : (Since she didn't realli give me a title to go it with) The Princes on New Year's Eve
Pairing : Akame
Genre : Slight humor, Romance, Non-Au
Rating : PG-13
Short summary: Kind of like "groundhog's day", only the concept where one(or even both) of them is stuck in an endless loop and keep reliving the same day over and over until they reach an epiphany. Doesn't matter who is stuck in the same day, you can choose.

-------------------------------------

It was a normal that day. He didn't know when it started, or how it started but somehow, he was stuck on Christmas Eve.

A Christmas Eve when someone special to him would get hurt.

Specifically, Jin.

* * *

Kazuya didn't remember much how it started that day. He remembered it was Christmas Eve and seemingly enough, KAT-TUN's families decided to spend it all together, something they did years ago.

Obviously for Jin, thanks to that experience and some unreasonably moments from that holiday, Jin decided to ditch it, dragging a half-willing Kame with him.

"They're idiots. Happy Stupid idots." Jin said, a chuckle coming right after from his lips. "Happy New Year, Kamenashi." He added, a goofy smile on his face.

"It's Christmas Eve, idiot." Kame corrected, laughing as he did so. For what seemed like hours, Kame and Jin drank and drank and  teased each other. Kazuya couldn't remember what they were teasing each other about but somehow, it ended up Jin saying something strange.

Not that he didn't always, but something strange to him.

"I'll be your prince for today, Kame-chan~"

Kazuya choked on his drink and stared hysterically at Jin. Jin was definitely drunk by now, he noted.  Kame laughed and smiled at this, nodding his head. He learned from past violent experiences not to mess with an almost-drunk Jin.

Akanishi beamed brightly at Kame's response and pulled him into his arms, hugging him. Kame knew Jin's actions was due to the alcohol filling them up, yet he also couldn't help but smile and profusely blush to this as well.

They stayed together like that for the whole night: Not in each other's arms to Kame's dismay, but drinking together and spending a memorable Christmas Eve together, or a 'Its a Happy New Year!' to Jin's point of view.

Nevertheless, Kame and Jin ignored the bright lights that lit the streets lustrously, or the happy Christmas songs that played over the stores loudly, they ignored everything.

They contented each other with their own presence.

Jin swung his arm around Kame, not because he was absolutely drunk and couldn't stand up on his feet, but because he wanted some proximity between them. Something that'll say to him tomorrow that it wasn't a dream he'd wanted for a long time. Finally, Kame and Jin attempted to go home, well Kazuya did anyway.

Akanishi found himself straying to a flower shop on the way home. Behind the glass stricken wall was a bouquet of carnations. Now, he didn't consider himself to be a romantic person, much less a person giving another guy flowers.

It was completely not him. Not Jin.

Jin turned around and studied Kame. The latter changed over the years, he thought. Of course, he had noticed this before but not thoroughly, deep inside him, he knew the Kazuya from back then was still the same from now. Always kind, always forgiving. . . Always beautiful.

Akanishi blushed to this and earned  a questioning look from Kame. If possible, his blush colored a shade deeper and he ran into the shop, leaving a confused and astounded Kazuya out the shop.

Kame frowned and waited for the boy, his foot impatiently tapping into the hard ground. And after what seemed like forever, a total of 10 minutes, Jin came out of the shop and ran toward Kame, flushing a bouquet of carnations to him.

"Prince Jin gives you flowers!"

Kazuya instantly snorted seeing this, and promptly laughed, ignoring Jin as he continued to say 'Accept it!" to him. He glanced at the boy and held out his arms, accepting it.

"Am I the princess now?" he asked, laughing. Jin pouted at this and forcibly handed him the flowers, making Kazuya laugh even more.

"What an idiotic prince."

Akanishi snapped his head at him and glared, the pout still evident on his face. He grabbed Kazuya's hand and with his other hand held his face, a smirk now playing on his lips.

"Now you've done it." Jin lastly added, leaning in suddenly and pressing his lips against Kame's surprised ones. He knew his mind was telling him that what he was doing was entirely wrong but his heart said otherwise. With Kazuya remaining frozen and with a mouth half-open, Akanishi shoved his tongue in and licked the roof of his mouth, tickling Kazuya and snapping him back to reality.

Kazuya gasped, realizing this and flushed, his lips pursed, yet still connected to Jin's. Akanishi smiled seeing these and yanked the flowers from his arms, carelessly letting it drop on to the floor. He wrapped his arms around Kame, tighly trapping him in his arms as he buried his face next to his ear.

"I'm the prince. You're my princess." he stated, huskily, blowing hot puff to the latter's ear, making Kame blush even more. "Forever."

By now, Kazuya was crying and was tightly hugging Jin into his arms. He had just gotten confessed to by the man he loves. On Christmas Eve, to add. Jin laughed hearing Kame's hiccups and kissed the top of his head.

"Let me get you some water. You look like you need a drink."

"I-I'm fine." Kazuya trembled, earning another laugh from Jin.

"Well, let me rephrase that. How about I get us something to drink? Seeing that we're in need for a new celebration."
Kame looked sternly at the older boy and shook his head. Despite having drunk too many bottles and had been confessed to by the man he loves, he was still sane. "Water."

The older boy pouted at this and then chortled. "Water." he stated, beaming.

Kame glared, looking up at him and with tip-toed toes, kissed him. "Water."

Akanishi grinned and led him to a bench, urging him to rest. "Be back in sec." He added, kissing him on the lips lightly and on the top of his head.

Kazuya smiled, blushing and shooed the other. His heart never feeling better like that before.

Only if it could have stayed like that.

* * *

"Kame?! Kame-chan!" Kazuya woke to a loud voice calling his name and soon a lot more. He fluttered his eyes, adjusting to the light and to the figures that were calling him.

"Ko-Koki? What are you doing here?"

Koki loudly sighed in relief and tackled him, tears quickly rolling down his cheeks. "We thought you were dead! We didn't know that you were with Jin and then the accident and then KAME-CHAN!" Koki bawled out, hugging the younger boy tightly in his arms.

"Ko-Koki. Stop that." Kazuya groaned, struggling to breathe. He looked pleadingly at his other members and stroke them to help him. "Wait. What accident?"

T-TUN froze and Koki finally released his hold on Kame, looking sadly at the others and then to Kame.

"Kame-chan. . . We're so. . .We can't even to tell you ho-

"Koki, what happened?" Kame asked, his heart hammering.

"Jin. . .he. . he  got into an accident. He got into a motorcycle accident last night, he's in the hospital now. He's. . .He's still alive but. . ."

Kazuya widened his eyes and swiveled his eyes around his members. "How. . How bad is he in right now?" He asked, his breathe coming into patches and his heart beating faster.

Koki bit his lower lip and looked guiltily for telling him. "Coma. He's in a coma."

And that was the only thing Kame needed to hear before his heart skipped a beat and a sea of darkness filled his mind.

* * *

"Kame? Kamenashi?" Kazuya woke to a familliar voice calling him and he immediately opened his eyes. That voice could only mean. . .

"Don't fall asleep on me, Kamenashi. You still haven't drank your fifth bottl-

"JIN! YOU'RE ALIVE!" exclaimed Kame, tackling the older boy to the ground as he did so. He embraced the boy tightly in his arms and carelessly let his tears flow. "You're. . ." he hicked, "You're alive. . ."

"Of course, I'm alive, you idiot!" Akanishi grumbled, smacking the boy on the top of his head. "Why wouldn't I be? God, are you trying to get us found out?! Don't yell out my name like that!"

Kame brushed his tears away and shifted his body away from Jin. He ignored the boy as he scolded him and studied his surroundings.

I'm at the pub?

"Are you that drunk?" complained Jin, taking his seat back again and urged the boy to do so as well. Kazuya followed and focused his attention on Jin, not wanting to remember what happened at the end of his 'dream'.

"Happy New Year, Kamenashi." Jin suddenly said, sending a shiver up Kame's spine. He remembered the Jin in his dream saying the same thing but shrugged it off as a coincidence.

"It's Christmas Eve, idiot."

And before Kame knew it, time passed by and everything in his dream happened as it did.

"Oh my God." Kame gasped, Jin had just left him for the flower store to give him some flowers. As romantic as it had been, if Jin was going to get hurt like that. . . .Kame didn't want it to happen at all. He looked sadly at the store and let a tear crawl down his cheek.

"I'm so sorry, Jin. I love you."

And with those wrods he'd whisphered, Kame clicked his heels and headed on home, a dull pain emerging in his heart.

* * *

Kame drowned himself in more alcohol that night. He couldn't bear thinking what could've happened to Jin. It was only going to hurt the both of them.

Kazuya brushed his tears and answered his phone, his caller ID stated 'Koki'.

"Kame-chan! Where are you?!"

"What, Koki?" he grumbled, wiping his runny nose on his shirt. A raging headache suddenly occured to his head as he said this and he cursed the bottle of alcohol he was drinking and smashed it against his wall.

"Jin! He got into an accident! He's in the hospital right now! . ." Kame droned out and dropped the phone, tears unsteadily dropping from his cheeks. Everything was swirling in his mind and the alcohol in his body made just made it worse. He couldn't feel anything and it only took a second before everything turned black once more.

* * *

"Kame? Kamenashi?" Kazuya woke again to a familliar voice calling him and he immediately opened his eyes again. That voice calling him again. . .

"JIN!"

Said boy stared at him and placed his palms over his lips. "Quiet! Would you?!" Kazuya looked at him and tears immediately strolled down his cheeks. "JIN JIN JIN JIN JIN JIN JIN!"

"Stop repeating my name or else we'll get found out." Jin hissed, looking around suspectingly. Kame had managed to calm down but the older boy could still see him shaking.

"What' s wrong with you?"

Kame vehemently looked around and instantly hyperventilated. Everything was repeating itself. Everything from the point he didn't want it to start, stuck him there.

"Kame? Kamenashi?" Jin called out once again, worry now taking place on his face. Kazuya looked at him with care and unsteadily cried.

He was stuck on Christmas Eve.

He was stuck on the day Jin was going to die.

* * *

"Happy New Year, Kamenashi"

"Do you really get jealous when Koki get close to me?" Kazuya interrupts, placing his chin on his palm as he took a sip from his drink. He was getting used to the 'groundshog day' thing that was happening to him.

It was the 23rd time he'd experienced it now. He had tried not sleeping, not talking to Jin, even suicide just to prevent Jin from getting hurt. It didn't matter.

Jin would always get hurt.

Kame decided to give up this time, knowing nothing was going to change anyway. So why bother? he noted to himself. Jin glanced at him strangely and blushed profusely, chugging down his drink.

"H-Happy New Year, Kamenashi." Jin repeated, nervously.

The only thing he could do at this situation was ask things he'd always wanted to ask the older boy. Some personal, some random, it didn't really matter to him since the latter wasn't going to remember it anways.

"If I said I loved you, would you love me back?"

Jin choked on his drink and stared hysterically at a leaning Kame. The younger boy leaned toward him softly and with his hand, held his face. Kame remembered everything Jin did to him when he'd confessed to him and planned to do it.

"I'm the princess." he whispered, a careless tear crawling down his cheek. "And you're the prince." Kame lastly added, pressing his soft awaiting lips onto Jin's.

"Forever."

* * *

"Kame? Kame-chan?"  Kazuya woke to someone calling him again. He continued pretending to sleep and let his worries come later. It wasn't like anything was going to change, he thought.

"Kamenashi Kazuya, WAKE UP!" and before Kazuya could even crack an eye open, cold chilling water was suddenly streamed down from his black haired head to his pedicured toes. He shivered feeling the cold air breeze through him and snapped his eyes open furiously.

"What the hell?!"

"Thank God. He's up."

"I thought he was gone for good."

"Stupid. Nobody would die from eating pies."

"Well, it is from Taguchi. We never know."

"True, true. Eh? Hey!"

Kame widened his eyes and stared at the figures in front of him. Koki, Taguchi, Ueda, Nakamaru and . . . even Jin were in the living room, laughing, teasing and much importantly not hurt.

"JIN!" he exclaimed, tackling the older boy as he did so. Kame happily snuck his arms around Jin and hugged him tightly, eliciting blushing stares from the others. "You're alive."

"And I'm cold. Get off of me." Akanishi fussed, pushing the younger boy off of him and groaned seeing his clothes wet. Kame laughed at this and turned to his group members, appreciating their presences more than ever.

Especially Jin's.

"Jin?" Kame called, stepping closer toward the boy and smirking. He finally realized what his 'dream' wanted to tell him.

"Yeah?"

Kazuya tapped the boy on the shoulder and leaned his face and lips for the last time that day.

"I love you." he muttered, pressing his pouting lips to Jin's full and surprised ones. "And Happy New year, Jin."

A/N to fr_gal and nozomi:

DEKITA! Horah!

I AM SO SORRY! This is so late :( Christmas and New Year made me busy as hell and the fic was realli hard for me to write. I really didn't know what 'grounds hog day' was so it took me a long time to come up with the outline. Also, I tried to make it cuter than the original one I wrote, which was kind of dark and evil. O.O LOL

So sorry for fr_gal if this didn't turn out like the one you wished.

Also, unbeta-ed :[
