/ Prologue / Chapter 1 / Chapter 2 /

The moment Kazuya walked out of the door, Uchi felt a piece of him go with the younger boy. They've been best friends for so long that having Kazuya without his side felt too empty.

Uchi staggered onto an empty seat and dropped his head down. It was all his fault. He never knew that his problems affected the boy that strong. He'd always thought that Kazuya would always have his back like they did back then. Things were different now, he guessed.

Ryo looked guiltily at his former lover and grazed his teeth over his lower lip. Had he hurt the boy that much to the point that it ended to this? Had he ruined his life pretending to be something and someone he wasn't? Thoughts as such clouded over him as he thought of the latter every single time.

"Aww. Look at what you guys did. You made him ran away." Jin whined, pouting as he went on with it. Ryo glared as though to say 'Jin, don't even try to say stupid stuff right now.'

Said boy tilted his head in confusion at the intense glare that Ryo was sending and merely shrugged. The Osaka man sighed heavily to that and immediately retracted his gaze over to Uchi.

Akanishi sensed what his friend was trying to do and sighed exasperately at that. Really, those two were too much alike. They were too shy to submit to whatever needs and needed to be done.

He sighed once again and took a challenging breath.

I guess it's all up to me all over again.

"Look, Ryo-chan," he started, looking sternly at the short boy. " I haven't been around to really know what's going on between the two of you. But the thing is, whatever you guys are doing. . .avoiding, disliking each other, it's not working out that well. You're hurting people that care about you and eventually losing the important things that helped make you for what you are."

The two men flinched at his words and carefully looked at  each other. Their eyes watching, reading, grasping on what future they might or might not have together.

"And I don't want to end up like you two." The taller boy added, grabbing his overcoat and shades. "I'm going to do what you two should've done a long time ago. . . . . I'm going to follow my heart."

With a smirk and a click, Akanishi left the two with a deathening silence. Breaths and words were choked and eyes were gazing emotionally.

Uchi finally sighed and stood up. "Ryo. . . . .let's talk."

* * *

Kazuya ran aimlessly around and followed whatever his mind wanted him to go. He couldn't take it anymore. All those stress coming from Uchi's problem and the strike and now Jin. All he ever wanted was for Ryo and Uchi to make up and get over what needs to be done. Was it that difficult to do that?

Kame came to a stop and dropped himself to the ground. He found himself on the same park he'd met the perverted idol, and unconcsciously smiled.

Eh? He reached for his face and touched his lips. Surely he wasn't smiling, he thought. But the living evidence rather proved it. An upside frown displayed on his lips. Why would I. . .

And suddenly, a pair of arms from behind was instantly wrapped around him making him squake and freeze. Husky breaths wheezed against his ear.

A pervert?! In broad daylight?!

". F-Finally. . . . .caught up. . with you. . . . " it gasped, clutching his arms around the younger boy even tighter.

That voice!

"J-Jin?!" Kame stuttered, turning his head shakily and attempting to look at the boy. Jin chuckled and hugged him tighter, his chest heaving desperate breaths and his hair traveling all over his eyes.

"You called me 'Jin'."

Kazuya blushed furiously. "I-I mean. . I d-didn't mean. . A-Akanishi! Let go of me!" He stuttered nervously instead, squirming in Jin's hold as the older chuckled happily in return.

"Jin's fine. I'd love it if you call me that." Jin said, nuzzling his head on Kame's neck, suddenly pausing. "I'm sorry."

The younger boy flinched. ". . what?"

Jin sighed and tightened his hold on him, leaning his lips close against his ears. "I'm sorry for earlier. I didn't mean to make you mad. I just wanted to talk to you."

Kazuya shifted eyes from side to side. What was he talking about? He wasn't mad at him. He was just so stressed about the intense things that was going on from Uchi and Ryo! How could he get being mad at him, from that?!

"Would you idiots stop it?! I've had enough out of all of you!"

Okay, maybe that's where he'd gotten if from. But surely, he couldn't have taken him seriously.

"I'm so sorry for being an idiot. I didn't mean to pressure you. Please don't be mad." Jin reasoned, slowly releasing Kame from his embrace and holding his shoulders instead. "I'm so-

"Stop apologizing!" Kame interfered. "It wasn't your fault, ok? So stop apologizing." Jin hesitantly nodded to this and removed his hands off of his shoulders.

"But I do am sorry for what Ryo-chan did." he added roughly, dropping his body down on the green soft grass, watching Kame mirror the same action.

Kame momentarily closed his eyes to his words and shook his head.

"I should be the one apologizing. . .Going off like that. . ." a pathetic chuckle stuck between his sentence. Akanishi shook his head to that and gazed off over the distance.

"It was Ryo-chan's fault, actually. He was the one who broke it off with Uchi in the first place." Kame bit his lower lip and resumed listening to the older boy.

He had been best friends with Uchi since childhood but was never around when he had his relationship with Ryo. It was only at the end when things were messed up and destructible that he finally showed up.

"Let me tell you something though," Jin said, looking at Kame with a serious face. "Ryo never stopped loving Uchi one bit."

Uchi quietly invited Ryo to an open cafe and ordered drinks for them. As they sat down on a table by the glass wall, Ryo couldn't help but cough nervously and toy with his necklace, eyeing the other boy across from him.

"What do you want to happen, Ryo?" Uchi asked softly, combing his hair through his fingers. "We can't stay like this anymore. People around us are getting hurt. Especially Kame. I've never seen him like that before."

Ryo sighed defeatedly to this and took a deep breath. "I want us to start over again."

Uchi widened his eyes to his words and attempted to utter choked words, the waitress suddenly interrupting them as she served them their drinks. Uchi muttered a low 'thank you' and Ryo nodded lightly, his eyes retracting back to the auburn-haired boy.

". . .why?"

The black haired boy gasped in confusion. The boy had used a tone that sounded of disappointment and dislikeness.

Uchi noticed of the pain expression on his face and quickly explained. "It-It's not that I don't want to! I mean. . .I do. . But. ." he paused and looked sadly at him. "If we did start over, Ryo. . . and things ended up like they are now. . . I don't think I'd be able to take the pain again, Ryo. If you consider me only as your toy like you did back then, then  let-

"I don't think of you as a toy!" Ryo defended, his voice pitching higher and attracting a couple of glances from the other customers. He lightly bowed in apology and leaned closer on the smaller boy.

"I have never considered you as a toy, Uchi. You were always at the top of my list. I wouldn't have do-

"Done anything to hurt me? Well you did, Ryo! Big time! So don't act or say anything like you didn't!" Ryo widened his eyes to that and sighed deeply once again.

Tears threatened to jut  out of Uchi's eyes but he held it in. He realized what he said sounded a lot more harsher than intended. But he didn't care, Ryo deserved it. He broke his heart, caused him pain and now he wants to start all over again? Just to hurt him back again in the end?

"I-I don't think so, Ryo." Uchi stammered, tears unconsciously falling down his cheeks now. "The moment you chose work over me, we both knew it was going to be the end for us. I gave you a long time to think about what you've done but you did nothing." He chuckled at his last words. "When I asked you to live together, to try to settle down, you chose work, Ryo. You ran away."

Tears pooled in the Osaka man's eyes and he brushed it swiftly with his hands, listening intently to his former lover. He promised himself he wouldn't cry. . .

"I'm sorry, Ryo." Uchi lastly added as he stood up and giving him one last smile. "I don't think we should see each other anymore. This will be our last goodbye." and he left.

Tears ran down from their eyes and sadness filled their heart. Uchi briskly walked out of the door and hoped, out of Ryo's life as well.

* * *

Jin passed a tissue to Kame and let the younger boy brush the tears away from his eyes. It ached him to see the younger boy like this however he needed to tell him the truth.

"D-Does Uchi know?" Kazuya hicked.

Jin shook his head to that and turned his head from the shed tears. "It'll only cause Uchi pain. Ryo didn't want to hurt him even more."

So that's what it was. It wasn't neither of their fault. It was Uchi's parents. They've threatened Ryo just to get him away from Uchi. Kazuya cried and cried until tears couldn't flow out of his eyes anymore. He'd forgotten how long he'd been crying nor being with Jin on the park. The only thing he knew was, all of this was a one big mistake.

"Jin. . ." Kame called softly, clearing his face of dried-stricken tears and then standing up. Said boy followed his actions and looked at him with concern.

Kazuya looked at him intently and deeply bowed, immediately surprising the latter. "Thank you." he muttered politely, his head still down. "It must've been hard on you to tell me all these things. I truly do appreciate that." He slowly picked his head up, a warm smile displaying on his face, a tint of sadness on his eyes but nevertheless content. He leaned in towards the latter and pulled Jin's face on the level of his own.

Akanishi gasped slightly as he felt their breaths hitching together by the lessened distance. Kazuya smiled to that and to the blush that quickly sprawled across Jin's face. He chuckled. "Being honest and bold to me is the best thing you've done so far." Kame muttered, suddenly closing in on the last inches that seperated their lips and kissed him. "Keep up the good work."

Jin widened his eyes at the younger's action and pulled back, immediately clamping his hands over his stolen lips.

"Oh, don't act like you haven't been kissed before." Kame teased, retracting his form away from the boy and chuckling. "You stole a kiss from me. It's only fair to give it back."

Jin gasped and blushed even more, pursing his lips beneath his nervous hands. Kazuya snickered to this and started to walk away, leaving an incoherent popular pop star called Akanishi Jin befuddled by a simple kiss.
