I'm sorry about that, Vantas-san, but it wouldn't have happened if he hadn't insulted me, then insulted Gamzee. I think I'd be less worried about it if he hadn't just done the exact same thing to Zahhak-san, but if you can't make him stop behaving so poorly he's going to end up collecting a beating eventually, and it might be from someone who doesn't care that he's your moirail and who doesn't care whether or not he really gets hurt. I wouldn't have brought any of that up if he hadn't started it.
But--I know you don't have to care whether or not I think Ampora-san is a bad moirail or not--he's your moirail, not mine, and it's your decision. And I am sorry if the fight made you uncomfortable.
[He looks down, his throat tightening a little, feeling vaguely like a guilty child.]

[He nods a little, his face softening helplessly before he looks down, his throat tight.]

[He looks briefly thoughtful as he decides exactly where to begin.]
Well, back in my world, there are humans, and there are members of another race called Fangires, who attack and drain humans of their life force. They look just like people, though, so it's really difficult to tell the difference, and most humans don't even know they exist. So humans don't really have a defense against them. That was my... well, job, I guess--I would use the suit--it's called Kiva--to fight Fangires when they attacked humans.
...what I learned when I went home is that I'm half-Fangire, on my mother's side, and that she was the Fangire Queen, and that I have an older half-brother who inherited the title of King from his father, who was a Fangire even though my father was human, and the fact that I'm half-Fangire is the reason I could become Kiva in the first place. And I went back in time to before I was born to help my father defeat my half-brother's father, the old Fangire King, and then came back when the Fangire Bishop resurrected him an attempted coup to throw my half-brother off the throne because I beat him in a fight, so I took the throne for a while to try and get Bishop to target me instead but then my half-brother was really upset but Bishop resurrected his father anyway and my half-brother and I had to team up to beat him but we did, so it was okay. And then I was on my way to my two really good friends getting married when I ended up back here.
...I mean, that's not everything that happened, but that was most of the important stuff, I think.

Sorry, Vantas-san. But yes, it got kind of complicated, I guess. ...everything was pretty much worked out when I left, though, which... is nice. I mean--I have a family now, and I'll miss them when I'm here, but they're all okay.
[He really smiles, then, the expression soft and warm as it spreads across his face.]

[Wataru's face goes pale, and he bites his lower lip.]
I see. Well, I'd say that it's obvious it didn't exactly sink in, if he was talking to me that way, but if it's not my business then never mind.
[Wataru looked prim for a moment before the expression melted off his face and he ran a hand through his hair, smothering a quiet sigh and looking distracted.]
But thank you for telling me, Vantas-san--Zahhak-san has been acting so strange, and I bet that's why. ...do either of them have a place to stay?
