There is only one short way from the coral to their hive. He knows Wataru will pick that one, so he does as well, stumbling a little as he runs. His heart pounds as he runs and then, oh, it really is him. Gamzee squeezes his eyes shut, crossing the distance between them with a few more long strides, before he slams into Wataru, his arms around legs immediately wrapping around him, as he buries his face against his shoulder, already crying again.]

[Wataru oofs softly and catches Gamzee up, sinking carefully down to the pavement as he holds him tight. He pets Gamzee's hair soothingly and tries to keep from wheezing, his voice soft as he murmurs in Gamzee's ear.]

[His throat tightens and his hands fist a little in Gamzee's shirt.]
