マタニティ・ライフ:中期

Not too much is new right now. I have some tight deadlines coming up--it's going to be touch-and-go getting everything done--so most of my time is spent translating and on other un-newsworthy pursuits like buying groceries and eating them (a big part of my life these days). My sample for Jlit is due on the 14th, OMG at the end of the month, and MW two weeks after that.

I'm definitely feeling a lot better these days and I think it's more and more obvious that I'm pregnant (though it depends on what I'm wearing). I'm trying to hang out with friends and go on dates with Geo as much as possible.

Past week:

Thursday night: The Elite Beat played a great show on Last Thursday, caught up with lots of folks including Julie, Jenny, Christian, Mike, IJ, Luke...

Friday night: Sushi with Geo's folks.

Saturday: Went to a garage sale held by a bunch of Japanese families and scored a bunch of great Japanese picture books and kiddie videos, cute clothes and some baby gear. My folks and their friends stopped by for tea in the afternoon and we had Jenny, Christian, Tuesday and Susie over for gyoza (the girls slept over. The girls really hit it off and were super funny together.

Tuesday night: Hung out with Tess, had delicious pasta and watched Stage Door, the documentary about a drama camp for kids. Pretty hilarious.

Last night: Went to see Knocked Up with Geo last night. Definitely entertaining.

Tonight we're going to see Nicholas Crosa play at Reed, and on Saturday night we're going to see Waitress.

The garden is developing, albeit slowly.

baby, friends, translation
