We woke up this morning in Kansas city, dug our car out of the snow, hopped on an airplane, and disembarked 3.5 hours later into a vista of palm trees, glittering swimming pools, and sunny 75 degree weather.
Will post AM and PM pics tomorrow. Unfortunately, the Internet at this hotel isn't free so I'm limiting my online time.
In more good news, one of our meetings tomorrow was cancelled so we only have one meeting!
But it looks like I'll be spending our 3-day weekend translating.
I got an call yesterday about another SD assignment right after this one ends, this one is only 5 days and it's seminar (simul) interpreting about pharmaceutical production (!!). I called Vertical and they said it was okay if I get Apollo to them a couple of weeks late... so I'll probably take it. It'll help me pass the time while Geo's still in Germany, so that I'm not just sitting at home alone in our big, cold house waiting. I'll probably be home for one or two days and then fly back out for 5, then be home for a few days working on my project for DH, then off to Boardman again for another potato job. Anyway, the DH project is due on March 10 so I'll be putting in some hours this weekend. Busy is good. When Geo gets back from Germany, I promised him we'd spend a weekend together in Neskowin.
