Very well written. "Let me take that anxiety away." Love that line.

One small grammar point: "He felt much comfortable knowing he was the one who had to deal with it..." should that be comfort?

Very nicely done. I liked the progression of their relationship, and how attached Tenpou was to it. I could see him thinking these things of Kenren...it worked really well.

And the idea of them getting drunk and just messing around is hilarious.

There are a few errors, but nothing a little beta wouldn't fix. *hearts* You did a good job, Kambei-chan! *glomps*

There's such a desperate feel to it, and the not-quite-drunken exchange made me smile. I think you've got a really good portrayal of Tenpou's inner thoughts, and how and why Kenren means so much to him. I think the segmented aspect of this works really well, too, almost like fleeting memories running through Tenpou's mind.
