In light of recent events, well somewhat recent, I am finding myself amazed at how sudden, yet subtle, things can change. Just how one moment, almost literally, can change things dramatically. I think this is hitting you hard only because you have never met such people who absolutely refuse to listen.
These people exist in the world. Atop all their human greatness, uniqueness, and wonder, they exist. And although they don't go out of their way to maliciously trample on others, they certainly do not go out of their way to help others; searching to see what they can do to better others while, at the same time, bettering themselves.
Put simply? They don't have God in their lives. There is more to life than just living without responsibility to others, responsibility to society.
There exists a blessed life for those who are not selfish. In the end, you will have gained more. And in the end, they will have lost more several times over.
You tried. It's time to move on. When you and I live together, closer to Atlanta than you are now, we will have many here worth our time and hearts. In the meantime, open your eyes to the others who are worthy of the person I have come to love so much.
