Just letting everyone know that there is something wrong with me!

I just finished watching Neon Genesis Evangelion for probably the 4th time including the last 2 episodes and...I like the ending to the series. I mean I really liked it and no I wasn't drinking and I haven't smoked in a very long time. For those of you who have seen the series, you will understand why this is blasphemous. But before you all stab me with jagged shiny things, please hear me out.
I knew even way back when I first saw this that most people who saw the ending thought they "got it" and that "it's stupid, lame, and point-less", even though they didn't get it. We all thought we got the shaft for the series' conclusion, and with the 2 movies, to some people, the attempts just got worse. Well, I got a fair chunk of it the first time I saw it, but not all. After seeing it more often you get more and more of it, just like most people were with the Matrix. Well, I got it. I just got it, and perception was key. The only other person I know of, and I won't reveal whom they are for safety reasons :), who thought the ending was great was because he saw it when he was high. Figures, because perception is definitely in left field then and just about everything's "koo" when you're high. While maybe I was high off the tea I made, I believe I was perfectly "normal". A big message in the final 2 episodes was perception, and as I watched these episodes I realized that my perceptions were different from all the previous times I saw it and thus perceived it in a new light and understood.
While this post may seem out of character on my part, you must realize that even though the person you perceived as me before this post is not the same as the me you perceive now, both are mes because both mes exist in your mind and thus are true mes. Similarly, although the response you have to this post may seem as though they are not you, the you can take on infinitely many forms, and of my choosing, thus it can be known that no matter what I make you in my mind, that you is the real you despite the you you perceive as you.
